There's no logical pattern or rhythm to weight loss. You can do everything right on paper but still the body does it own thing. You just have to be consistent in your diet and activity. You can't give up if the scale refuses to budge. Find other non-scale victories to help motivate you along your way. For example, your…

Every thing in moderation and if you love bananas just add them into your calorie count for the day. I love them in smoothies, top of oatmeal or as a pre or post workout quick energy food. Enjoy!

My rest day would be a leisurely walk at a comfortable pace. 10,000 steps for the day.

Found my old pair of faded blu jeans from 2 years ago and they were too tight to fasten. Today was able to pull them on without unfastening the button. Oh my, this process is working!!!

Stop focusing on what you did or didn't do, just start tracking right away and move forward. Don't wait until tomorrow or next week or you will keep on making excuses and before you know it...a year will have passed and you will be still fighting the same battle to lose weight.

1200 calories but I usually eat about 800-1000 calories. I do not eat the exercise calories I earn. My loss so far is around 2-4 lbs a week. I do have a special treat day each week...those calories for that day is about 1000-1200 calories.

Baby steps...First cut back on portion size and drink lots of water. Just focus on walking more each day. Park in the back of the parking lot at the grocery store or mall. Take the stairs and even walk in place while watching TV. Track every bite/lick of food. Sit down when you eat your meals and don't nibble off your…

I'm sure you have weighed the pros and cons of gastric bypass surgery before posting your questions. Also, you probably have already made a decision to have the surgery. I pray you have an uneventful procedure. Just remember it's not a quick fix. Like other posts have said, "it's about changing your lifestyle." All the…

I would not worry about the gain. Stick with the program and you will be pleasantly surprised with the end results. During my early week on MFP I noticed a slight gain but the following week I had an even greater loss on the scale! Don't give up...just keep on doing what you're doing and success will come!

I prefer calories over the WW point system. I guess everybody is different and your success on either program ultimately depends on your level of motivation and determination to work the program.

Simply put, "you need to eat some carbs." Have you thought about doing "carb cycling" it's an alternate between low carb and high carb days. I'm doing that and so far I'm averaging around 2-3lb loss per week.

Look at your food dairy for today....really look at it and try to remember how you were feeling when you had your meals. Were you upset, bored, really hungry or tired at the time of your meals? Is there a lot of fast food or processed food? Self awareness is the first step. Second, try to include more protein and whole…
