PS - 10lb in 6 weeks is awesome!

There are several NSVs in there Rose - well done you - you deserve to be chuffed with yourself :) you've got toned up and the weight will follow - good luck on your journey :-)

I easily eat 5 a day on most days and often more. My diary is open - feel free to browse - good luck! :) PS - just had a look at your diary and you do have plenty of spare calories to bulk out the DietChef meals with lots of veggies - it will also help fill you up for longer - I know those meals are rather small !!

Yes I agree with Ron - terriers are monkeys for making a little scrap sound like a full blown war!! If they usually get on then no problem. Dogs have a canny way of working out hierarchy and you probably need to let them work it out. If they really do start to fight ... Ie blood shed then that might be different - but it's…

Come on footie fans - get into the game and enjoy .... You could sub the beer for vodka ;-)
-
For me - I immediately cut out pastry - it's what got me here in the first place .... Cheese straws etc. I am a cheese lover so I only now buy the extra strong stuff but need less of it. I cut out shop/restaurant fries and make my own oven baked ones .... Par boiled potatoes, drained then tossed in about 1 teaspoon olive…

Stock up on healthy nibbles ... Carrot batons, celery, cucumber sticks and low calorie humous, dips .... Then sit back and enjoy the game :-). Oh and don't forget the low cal soda and lime with ice and a slice !!

What an awesome read - you've answered a lot of questions that I had floating around in my head! I do a fair bit of walking with my dogs and I also love my archery. I do have asthma so some types of exercise are a little daunting for me - kind of like the idea of Zumba but certainly not up for insanity! Would you have…

It could be because you've had a few high sodium days so are retaining water. It will make you feel bloated but after a couple of low sodium days you'll feel better again. Keep up the good work you're doing a great job :)

My breakfast today was raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and a tub of strawberry yoghurt poured over the top mmmmmmm yummy!

You should be very very proud. Not just for your own achievements but for your caring about others as well. You deserve every accolade you get .... And .... You look FAB !!!! :-) xx
-
Yes, Ido that too :)

Yes, I do plan my day so that I know what spare calories I have. However it does change a bit as the day goes on. Breakfast and dinner are pretty static though - its just lunch and snacks I might play around with. If I didn't have an initial plan I don't think I'd manage to stay within budget. If I really want to stop…

To be honest if you're only drinking 3 cups a day, 3 teaspoons of granulated sugar is only 45 calories ..... Got to be better than the headaches- all assuming you only have 1 teaspoon per cup? I hate using sweeteners because of all the bad reports about them so on the odd occasion I drink coffee (i dont take sugar in tea)…

What makes it easy is that (if you do it properly) you log everything that goes into your mouth. Yes, I do eat 'normally' but I now make informed choices based on how many calories I have spare. It is a lifestyle for me rather than a diet - eg today I had a full English breakfast and will have a roast dinner tonight - well…

That is terrible! They must be so jealous that you've one so well. I can't imagine how I'd feel if my work colleagues treated me so badly ... It would never in my company ... I hope it gets better for you xx

Ps - temptation is everywhere you go ... Work, shops, parties, family get togethers, street markets .....

It's not sabotage it's about people eating what they want to. I would never expect my husband to eat the same as me just because I need to lose weight. We eat the same meals (portions differ of course) but he does have chocolate etc in the house but I don't have a problem with it. If he tried to encourage me to eat the…

You've done fantastically well! You're so much prettier now :) well done
-
Your sodium levels are very high which will make you retain water. As far as te fruit is concerned, why not keep a stash at work and use that instead of other snacks. I'm losing a steady 1lb a week and my diary is open. Yesterday I was over but on the whole I stick within my calories. Not sure how much it will help as I'm…

That has it to be the best NSV to date that I've heard. Brilliant, well done .... Now where are the piccies?? :-)
-
Fantastic Ron :)
-
You look the way you do now through sheer determination on your part and absolute commitment from your wife. To say 'well done' is almost derogatory to describe how well you really have done! The hardest part now will be maintaining but I have no doubt you will do it - all the very best of luck to you - you sooo deserve it…
-
Brilliant loss and you look so much prettier now :) We sometimes need a reminder that we are masters of our own destiny and we are worth it. Thank you for your wise words and inspiration x
-
Thank you for your feedback - I feel 100% better for cutting out all the pastry, cheese etc. no more indigestion, spots (yes at the age of 56!!) and I've even cut way back on my asthma inhalers which is a huge bonus. Joints are much better too - low grade arthritis was starting to kick in. Don't currently take multi…

I'm interested in this topic too. I generally go over on protein and under on carbs. I've lost 29lb since January so have no reason to change but opinions would be appreciated. My diary is open so feel free to have a look and let me know what you think. Must admit I'm pretty happy with what I'm doing as this is a lifestyle…

Fantastic - well done! You were very pretty anyway but now you're beautiful :)
-
Olive oil, ready made English mustard, white wine vinegar and a little black pepper ... Simples!!
-
I have 3 dogs and I don't let them lick my face (although I have been caught out many times lol). But - they are my babies ... Just not human ones :)

What a wonderful story. You've done so well. All the very best with your new life - you deserve to be the happiest man on the planet xxx
