I am so guilty of this, I work out more and if I slip and have a bad day I just get up the next day and start over.
-
You got this, you do not have to starve to lose weight. I always eat back my calories, it has never hindered my weight loss.
-
You are probably losing muscle and hurting your metabolism. Sincerely you can do this without starving. I work out, I am hungry. I eat, I lose weight.
-
I exercise so I can eat more. I know me, I would be too hungry and fall off the wagon.
-
I will just exercise for more calories.
-
Bob, he is the drinker. Maybe he has some residual alcohol in his blood stream.
-
Whether stravation mode is a thing or not, eating 800 calories is not the way to go. My mom did that and lost her hair and severely damaged her metabolism. If you are going to eat 800, don't run or exercise.
-
You will make yourself sick and destroy your metabloism. I would add spoonful of peanut butter and maybe see a nutritionist.
-
If it stresses you out that much, throw in the garbage. By a tape measure and use that, the scale is no one's friend.
-
Toss the scale and buy a tape measure and be patient. One week is no time period to judge or become discourage.
-
Five kids hands down, I do not have to bring my children to a 5K.
-
I have no idea how you can run while eating 800 calories a day. I would cut someone, my run days I eat 800 for lunch. There is something you are missing. You would not have the energy to run on 800 calories a day.
-
It is better to fuel your body. Running that much you need more food. I would buy a tape measure and toss the scale. I would google the TDEE method. When I was running, I lost the most weight and it was on about 2000 calories a day. My normal goal is 1480.

Oh I do not care, but I know many women who would knock a man out.
-
If your wife is standing next you, it might shorten your life expectancy.
-
I am not a 1200 fan, it is just a default number. I would do more research and if you it, Each back your exercise calories, that makes it easier. I would not eat less than your BMR.
-
I will give it a shot.
-
It always confused me why anyone people want to take a pill and instead of just eating the proper amount and exercises. I could give two darns if you only get the oily discharge if you go over, who cares. You are taking a chemical in your body when you can easily lose weight. But let's face it, those things make…
-
Hmmmm, I bet you work for Alli.
-
On the TDEE, you do not eat back your calories if you accounted for them in your calculations. While with MFP, you do.
-
It sucks because you can't fight genetics.
-
It's genetics. Same thing happens with my boobs.
-
I never eating under my BMR. 1200 is not the magic weight loss number. Good for you for researching TDEE.
-
I am not a fan of the 1200 plan, it is an arbitrary number set by MFP not to go lower than. It is not the magic number we need for weight loss. It is hard to maintain and most of the time the number is way too low. I never eat below my BMR. I would read more about how to set goals. Also google TDEE, when I started I just…
-
Have you tried throwing the scale out the window and buying a tape measure.
-
I just exercise if I go too far over.
-
MFP does that so if you are under a healthy amount of calories, it will blink at you that are depriving yourself at the end of the day. It is MFPs way of saying, hey, you are doing this wrong. I only exercise so I can have more calories. No problem losing weight here.
-
This. Best way to do it.
-
It is a great decision.

I dropped more weight when I was running than when I was on a low calorie diet. It is worth it. You should not feel guilty, food is fuel and there is nothing wrong with revving up your engine. I love to eat, that is why I exercise. You will have to go 3500 calories over you TDEE to gain fat. If you think about that, that…
