  • Isn’t aging the worse?!?! I haven’t hit 70 yet, but give me a couple of years. Unlike you I didn’t exercise regularly and my diet was so so. I am now realizing I need to get with the program, so here I am! I found an exercise program that caters to us seniors. Grow young fitness. His exercises start easy, most in a chair…
  • I so get you!! I was on 1200 cal from FP as well, today they upped it to 1500!!! I was shocked! Last night I was under by 300 cal. Had PB on some celery. I find it overwhelming to try and balance calories, and get the nutrients in but not going over the amount. I too do not eat flour or sugar products, at least for now! I…
  • Oh, I know, so I only do 10 pounds at at time too. I am doing a lot of mind games. Telling myself to walk like I am already at goal weight, makes me walk taller and good for my posture. I tried accepting your request, but it failed. Have to figure out why! Going to do my GYF, they have a face book page too. I like it…
  • Hi cesse47. You and I have so much in common! I too am coming back after a bit off, I have 100 pounds to loose. Exercise is a problem, I just don’t do it! Love water, not a problem but do have a large sweet tooth! My main problem is I have a thyroid problem and that makes losing weight extra hard, this week I am…
  • This morning I had a green smoothie, whole grain toast with almond butter and a smudge of homemade strawberry jam. Lunch was egg salad ( homemade) whole grain crackers and baby carrots. I had 1 T almond butter and celery for snack. Going out to dinner to a nice restaurant, been looking at the menu and leaning towards prime…
  • Hang in there, you did it once you can do it again!! Don't beat yourself up, look at the pictures as an accomplishment and motivation for being successful again. You are young and caught your weight gain early, instead of waiting until 20 years later and that 35 lbs. is now 100! That is my story
  • Yeah I will jump on this band wagon!! I too need to lose 100 + about 20 more. (how did this happen?!?) My challenge is exercise, finding, I mean making time to do it! I don't like it and I hope if I do it more I will like it. Food is ok, I have kicked some bad habits already, just need to track better.
  • It is okay to go at it slow, I know hard to do! but if you want to make this life long and not put it back it has to be something you can stay with the rest of your life. It isn't realistic to think you will never have another chocolate cookie or an ice cream with your child; but everyday probably won't work either. Eat…
  • A super easy dinner and leftovers for lunch: 1 can Rotel tomatoes, 1 can black beans(drained and rinsed) heat up and serve over brown rice with a smidge of cheese. ( I make a big pot of brown rice and keep it in the frig,or fast Trader Joe organic frozen brown rice.) yummy and super fast!
  • That is an amazing story!! Thank you for sharing. I, too am a 60+ overweight grandma! So many times I have tried and the scale will not budge! I thought it was broken but my husband has lost 25 lbs,so we know it works! I will take your inspiration and continue on trying. I don't want my golden years to be inactive and…
