Wonderful post, we all make mistakes, do stupid things and need help... Well said.

Hey, Having just finished 4 years at uni I know exactly what you mean, and while I was dieting over my final year exams it was the hardest thing. I found the best way was to plan lots of different snacks to have throughout the day while your studying. The snack would generally be very low calorie like carrot sticks, maybe…

Brilliant, thanks so much. Roundgal your referral to pasta was really good. I think I will stick to raw weight as I only cook for myself. I now consider myself educated :)
-
Ohhhhh so it's due to the shrinkage not from the absorption of oil? Or is it a bit of both? So would you recommend I log the raw weight?
-
But how does it absorb water if it's in a pan with no water to absorb? And does that mean the extra 65kcal are what they think the meat will gain from the oil you add? So if u don't add oil (I.e. I use frylight) I just need to add the extra calories from fry light on to the raw meat calories?
-
I just want to add that I am weighing and recording everything so I know my calories are bang on!
-
To the people asking what they get in return... Seriously, have you never helped someone else out unless you got something in return?

I have recently cam out of a plateau you need to mix your diet up a bit as your body is getting too use to it. Either increase your intake for a coupld of days then carry on, or what i did was increased my calories by 100kcal, and increased my protein intake substainually and i am really starting to see the weight come off…

She is definately hot, in terms of diet i think i am ok. Am I right to say it basically comes down to making sure you have a lot of protein? I currently have a protein shake with greek yogurt for breakfast to help boost my protein levels.
-
A few things could help: 1. Drink lots of water, often your body may thinks its hungry when its just thirsty. 2. Increase your protein intake. This is why the dukan diet is the current crazy as the hgih protein diet means you fill really full so dont eat so much. 3. Maybe increase you calories and find the level where your…

The best thing to do is speak to your gym as most will offer an induction at a small price and they will go through your goals, and set up a rountine for you and show you how to use the equipment :D

Its a good thing to be proud of yourself, it means your starting to like yourself and feel you achieving something, good for you!
-
Ooo i wanted to try a mug cake this week as i will ahve some extra calories after swimming and i was considering having an extra protein shake so this seems perfect, thanks. Cant wait to try :D
-
I think this is what people tend tend to associate with it. Plus the grunting and the vanity.
-
Well i am glad it has helped you guys out. Cabdurys hot chocolate is amazing, i have tried so many, but that one is the only one full of flavour for 40kcal. Enjoy the receipe and have fun creating new combinations!
-
I have sandwiches which i make myself and are surprising low calorie, use wholemal 50kcal slice bread, chicken breast and salad with salad cream or butter or cream cheese, i have two whole sandwiches for less than 400kcals :D
-
Philly cream cheese, i use that ontop of tomato puree for pizzas with extra toppings and it taste awesome :D

Sometime you need one of those days to make the few weeks good. At least it keepd your body guessing, and you know what you are actually doing to yourself, so it will help stop you in future!
-
That's great well done. it is the small milestones that me an the most as they always result in the final goal. congratz again!
-
I found that even though i was unhappy with myself i didn't start dieting until i felt mentally ready. Doesn't matter what anyone says or does you have to be in the right frame of mind or it just won't work in the long term.
-
Thanks so much to everyone. I cut and frozen half of them this morning ready for smoothies and ice cream, funny how I forgot you can freeze fruit. For the rest of them I can't wait to try some of the receipes, particularly the oat and banana cookies and muffins.

How does swimming tie in with this cardio resistance training balance? i know its not as good as just weight resistance but thethe water provides resistance that a running machine doesn't?
-
I get on this website and read some stories, comment on some posts and remind myself i am not the only one struggling and so may people have got through it, so i can too :D

I have been on 1200 calories and even though i had a good initial loss in the first week i plateaued really quickly. I have now increased my calories and my protein intake and already starting to see the scale move again. Increase you calories to about 1300/1400 depending on your BMR, make sure you eat lots of protein and…
