Missed my goal by 5is miles. Not too shabby

I basically need to average ~7 miles a day for the rest of the month. Most days I am right between 5-6. It will be tough but I think I can do it! I have some good runs planned this weekend which will help.

It is going to be close for me. How is everyone else doing?
-
Hit my goal of 160 on the last day. Eventhough Feb is 2 days shorter I am going to set it at 160 again. I had quite a few days of laziness so hopefully this will help me push a bit more.

I WILL HIT MY GOAL! WOOOOHOOOO! I need 8.39 and I already logged 12.73 for the day and still have a couple more hours. So excited!

i had a slow week due to illness but I still seem to be more or less on track. Now that I am feeling better I need to get moving!

I did a Tough mudder in Vermont in 2014. Lot's of fun! It was a great way to push myself out of my comfort zone. If you have any questions or need any advice let me know. I run 15-20 obstacle course events a year and am part of a group who does them all over New England. If I don't have an answer I am sure I know someone…

We will be here when things calm down! Good luck getting through the busy months!

Sounds perfect!

I just signed up for a challenge that is 1000 miles in 2016. I have now committee to doing 1000 intentional exercise miles in the year. This should be fun! Good motivation.

I disappeared at the end of December and know I didn't come close to hitting my goal. I am shooting for 160 fit bit miles for the Month of January. Race season starts in a month, I need to get moving!
-
The weather is supposed to be gorgeous here most of the week so I am hoping I can take advantage and at least get in my lunch walk all week!
-
What are you thinking about for your 3 mudruns? I am doing my first Spartan Beast this year in Jersey. I am going for my first Trifecta. I am not sure where you are located but if you are into obstacle course racing and can get to Vermont you should check out Shale Hill Adventure. The course is 6.4 ish with close to 70…

Slow start which was expected with the hubby away. Hoping to make up some ground this weekend.

I am still shooting for the elusive 160 miles I have been determined to get since October. This is going to be tough since my hubby is gone for the first 9 days of the month so i am on single mom duty. Time to get creative and figure out a way to stay active!

Missed my goal by 18 miles which isn't as bad as I thought it would be at the beginning of the month. On to December. If anyone wants to track December here is a link! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gsHfAE4bVKdmHQs2d1sIh_kTp-qDXdqUkyo300G4_jM/edit?usp=sharing

I pinned this in announcements so we don't lose the thread. I am love this idea. SV: 150 lbs by 12/31/16 NSV: - Be able to do at least 1 pull up from a complete dead hang - Be able to climb a rope - 100 #racelocal miles - Survive Ragnar cape cod (may) and 24 hours Shale Hell (Aug) (24 hour endurance obstacle course race).

I am still behind but I definitely stepped it up this week. This week was the most miles I have logged since the beginning of October. Hopefully next week will be even better!
-
Halfway through the month and I am a little behind my goal. To meet my goal I would have to average 6.5 miles a day. That will be tough with my schedule. It is not impossible though so we will see.

Layers are key to surviving winter runs. As mentioned, no cotton, and shoes with traction are important as well. For me, I figure even a couple miles here and there is better than nothing. I will use a treadmill or elliptical over the winter but it is not the same. The biggest thing is to be smart about it. A friend of…

Weekdays are tough here as well between work and family and just daily life. My problem is that unless I have a race on the weekend, I have been lazy. This weekend is my last scheduled race so after this weekend I will need to hold myself accountable for activity on the weekend until Aprill when race season starts up. I…

Slow start if I want to hit my goal. Time to step it up a notch!

Yes, this definitely can lead to lower back pain. Some simple stretches you can do are to sit in a chair with good posture and just stretch your arms straight up over your head and lift at your ribs elongating the spine. You can also do the standing or laying down flat on the floor. Another great stretch is child's pose…

I am going for 160 fit bit miles. I was no where close to it in October but I got injured. September was 150 ish so it seems reasonable.

Feel free to add me, It isn't quite 100% but I am working towards it.

My back is feeling better which is great. There is pretty much no way I can do 105 miles in the last 10 days while still recovering from injury so I definitely will be short this month. Maybe next month
