  • I am setting my goal at 100 miles but that may be extremely tough to hit this month. I am battling an ankle issue right now. Hopefully it will only lay me up a day or two but if it is longer, 100 will be impossible. I will do my best to keep moving until it is healed.
  • My name is Danielle (Dani) and I am 35 years old. I live in Central Mass, am married and have 2 kids (5 and 2 1/2). I have been a member of MFP for 4 years and am constantly amazed at how much this site has helped me change my life. I used to think that health was all about being skinny and weighing less. I know longer…
  • I started a new post for introductions in the pinned section. Feel free to start using it for introductions and to re-introduce yourself so we can get a picture of who is still active in the group.
  • Sure thing, whipping it up now and will post shortly! The month flew by, I just wrote the date and realized it was a new month!
  • Had a strength challenge workout which I worked on all last week, needless to say I am behind my pace. Time to step it up and get some miles in. Hoping for 5-6 tonight on "the hill" if my hubby gets home in time to let me go out to the course and play. If not, there will definitely be at least a neighborhood run tonight.
  • I am 150 behind for total miles so catching up to that is going to be tough. I would have to average ~122 miles a month. It is still technically do-able but seeing as I have yet to hit 100 miles in a month, it seems unlikely. But I am no defeated yet! For my running miles goal, I am only ~20 miles off of that pace. I…
  • As of today YTD I am at 351/1200 miles total and 199/520 miles running. I am a bit behind on my goals but I feel my mojo coming back and I am going to at least catch up a little bit on the running side, if not both running and total miles. I am setting my goal at 100 miles total but I am really hoping exceed that with at…
  • Fell short at 73 miles but I am quite proud of that!
  • Awesome job
  • Welcome to the group Chrissy! Feel free to add me. I am great at sabotaging my progress which is wahy accountability is so important.
  • I hope everyone is doing well. I have been a bit MIA this challenge. Things have been hectic at work and at home I haven't really been weighing but I did some measurements and I am down 2 inches in the waist and hips and 1 inch down in the bust, baby pooch, and butt. I plan on killing it in June! I have vacation coming up…
  • Me too. I am just starting to get into a little groove. It has been tough to stay motivated but I am hoping to finishe the month strong and start out June with a bang!
  • I am almost halfway to my 100 goal. I am a little behind but with workouts and walks planned for the rest of this week and a beautiful long weekend ahead of us I feel like I can catch up. Let's get this done!
  • With 17 days left to the month, I need ~4 miles per day on average to meet my goal. In my mind that sounds like a lot but I think I will be able to do it. I have discovered I like running in the morning so if I can drag my butt out of bed early and workout, I should be able to rack up the miles and get back on track with…
  • Sort of a slow start to the month but I am managing to get some miles almost everyday. The next two weeks will be tough since hubby will be away for work but I will figure out a way to get something done.
  • Sorry this is a few days late. I have been traveling since Friday and had no access to a computer. My goal for May is 100 miles. I kind of stopped tracking in April but after this weekend I feel revived and am ready to bring my fitness to a new level. What happened this weekend that has renewed that spark? I ran two races…
  • Yes! I just got back from a crazy weekend. I will have a May spreadsheet posted shortly
  • Good point... Been doing a bit better, getting miles in. Still chugging away.
  • I have not conquered a beast yet but am planning on it next year. The team I run with has a wealth of wisdom, reviews, and training ideas as well as people of all different ability levels. From the people I know that have done Killington and the NJ Beast this past weekend, I have heard it more about sheer will and being…
  • I am starting to think that my year goal may have been a bit ambitious. I guess only time will tell!
  • Another maintain this week. I am still 1.4 lbs up from the end of the last challenge but I felt good about this week. My pants are fitting a little better and I had a lot more energy. Now I need to focus on having a good weekend so I don't sabotage myself by over indulging too much.
  • Slow start to the month. My allergies have been killing me which has prevented me from running. I found a new allergy med that seems to be working better. Hopefully it will keep helping and I can get in some miles later this week while the weather is nice.
  • I am trying to run 3-4 times a week. The rest of the time I will be training for Obstacle course races. It consists of lots of different type strength training (flipping tires, monkey bars, climbing walls, attempting to climb ropes and lots of burpees and other evilness). Lots of intervals with running and strength.
  • I don't think anyone is friends with burpees. They are pure evil.
  • Slow start to the month but I got in some good miles today and if the rain holds off I might try for another walk after the baby wakes up. I have tomorrow off (or at least going in late) so I am going to plan on waking up at my normal time and get in a ride on the spin bike before the furnace repair man comes.
  • Things here have been stressful. Work has been crazy due to a big project at work. My best friend who has colon cancer had another set back with his treatment which was a huge bummer. It has been getting to me but I am determined to get back on track. I took pictures of myself this morning in a sports bra and shorts and I…
  • My goal is 178 miles. The weather is getting nicer and while I know I probably won't hit 178, that is what I need to be on track for my year goal so I am listing. Hopefully I will get my monthly hundred and start chipping away at my deficit. At least spring is finally here and it is above freezing most days :-)
  • Finished my half! New PR 2:22:41. Add in the walk to and from the car and I got in a nice 14 miles today. I will not hit 100 this month but I am proud of what I have accomplished!
  • Thanks! Heading out in 30 min!
  • My goal for this challenge is to lose ~10 lbs and focus on strength training and maintaining the endurance that I have gained over the winter during half marathon training!
