Once you maintain, you eat those calories, not below or you will continue to lose. If you eat over you will gain.

I suppose it all depends on your current weight. If you are very over weight, I'm sure the Dr. will ok eating at a slight deficit in the beginning. I was overweight with my first pregnancy and developed diabetes. I only ended up gaining 12 pounds through the entire pregnancy (son was 7lb 6 oz) so almost all of my weight…

False, there is such thing as a plateau. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-instinct-diet/200903/plateaus-why-they-happen-and-how-get-through-them

Have you played around with your calories? There have been a few times on my weight loss journey that I just was stuck for at least a month, despite exercising and eating at a deficit. What worked for me, I ate about 300 calories over my maintenance for 3-4 days. Believe me, I know it sounds super scary, but it works.…

1 cup = 8 oz.

Try drinking more water if you're not doing that already, or kick up your workouts a notch or two! Good luck!

I'm 5'3", 119 pounds and only have been at maintenance for almost a month. I eat 1660 calories, sometimes more depending on my workouts.

I hit my goal this month, lost 62 pounds! I was thin not that long ago so I still had my old clothes to wear. Those clothes got to big so I needed to buy new ones...Size 2!! I was shocked that all of my clothes are labeled size small, x small, size 2 or 3, but it really didn't hit until I saw a picture someone took of me…

Thank you all so much! I do have a goal, I want to lose 2% body fat and see some amazing abs. :)

Likes to stay indoors.

I'm almost 5' 3" and started at 181 and as of this morning, 121...One more pound to go!! All I did was eat at a deficit, and exercise. I never eliminated any foods from my diet, I eat 3 meals and snacks through out the day some days I go over, but mostly I'm within my range. You can do it!
-
For me, every 10 lbs is a size down. You have plenty of time to lose 10lbs the healthy way. Log your food religiously, stay at a deficit and you will be fine and looking great in your smaller dress.

I'm not 40, but will be 38 in a couple of weeks. I'm 5' 2.78" (yes that 7/8 counts!) My highest weight was 181 :frown: I'm down to 122, my goal is 120 and have a naturally muscular body on a small frame. In high school, I weighed 110-115, now I think I'm in better shape than I was back then and I don't think 110-115 would…

I'm 5' 2.78" and started at 181, now I'm 122..so close to goal. You girls can do it! Take one step at a time, and DO NOT give up when you have a "cheat day", just keep going forward. :flowerforyou:

In the beginning, I set a goal to lose 56 pounds which would put me at 125. When I hit 130, I changed my goal to 120...I'm still working on getting there. :) After I maintain that for a while, I will see if I want to lose more or just be a happy 120...I may just want to get to 119...Just because. :)

She's very happy.

Mine are real, so I don't know how it feels to have silicon in there. I'm a size 34 C, and pretty much as soon as I get home, the bra is off, I don't think I've ever slept in one. My girls like the freedom (hubby does too)

Drinking put most of my weight on me. Guess what my drink of choice was? Jagermeister, hence my user name. I now know that each shot is 100 calories. I would have probably a days worth of calories in just shots on a Friday and Saturday. So I don't drink near that much anymore. But I do still drink, and I log it. I…

I'm in my 12th week of p90x. By week 6, I lost 2.55% body fat (I will calculate again at the end of next week) 6 pounds and 5 1/2 inches. I am up to 224 push ups now!!!! It's a great workout program, and I will definitely do it again (after a few weeks of doing something else)
-
For me, it's much harder to drop pounds at the last stretch. But I'm doing a lot of strength training and am losing inches. I've set a goal for a body fat %, but would still like to see that nice number on the scale. :)

I said MAYBE she doesn't..... I would never EVER say not to drink wine. I still have that and chocolate almost daily. But possibly before the journey she didn't pay any attention to the calories in those things that are so easy to go down.
-
Because we ate the wrong choices of food. Maybe now she doesn't eat chips or drink wine...those really add up. Now she is trying to eat healthy foods. OP, like someone else said, add avocado, nuts, cheese, and seeds..those add up in calories. Full fat yogurt also helps. Good luck!

Because Keto is so restrictive, you need to take supplements so your body can have proper nutrients. You also need to get blood work done every 3 months, before and after the diet because your cholesterol levels will spike (not the good ones). Also if you consume too much protein, it will turn into glucose which your body…

If anyone eats a balanced meal, they do combine proteins with fruits and veggies. My favorite snack is banana and peanut butter. When you eat your meals, do you eat only protein at one, fruit at another??
-
Well thank you! You should do it! It's a lot of fun. I didn't really train for this one...I kind of forgot about it. Lol I registered for it in Jan, so it went to the back of my mind. I have been doing p90x though, and I know for sure that helped with some of the obstacles. The last time I did it, I was already a runner so…
