If you are working out on a treadmill and don't want to run (I have bad knees), try walking at an incline. I like to warm up for 5 minutes at a steady walk, then incline by 1 every 2-3 minutes. the back of my calve muscules used to bruise b/c my shoes were old and not good workout shoes. Definitely invest in a good pair of shoes. I found mine at Target for $30 on sale and I haven't seen a bruise since. Plus they are extra comfy!

I was given the suggestion of chugging a large glass of water before meals so you "think" you are full, even before you eat, so you end up eating less. Haven't tried it yet but the theory makes sense
