  • Nah, it's a sign of thinness and progress. :)
  • I think you're reaching a plateau - the best way to get rid of this plateau is to eat a lot for one or two days, because apparently that somehow gets your metabolism confused and gets you to burn off your fat that won't budge before. I am not sure how it works, but it does! I've had the same problem as you for a while. But…
  • Check out www.blogilates.com Yoga is great, but pilates is AWESOME especially for toning and getting into that really fit and muscular body.
  • No matter how hard I try, almonds. Raw almonds. They're my biggest weakness. I always pour only 13 almonds out and tell myself that's all I'm eating. And next thing I know, the entire container is empty. And ice cream. I can't leave without inhaling the entire bowl. Or cone. Or container. Or machine.
  • Take a deep breath right now and just try to find yourself. Think about yourself in how you want to see yourself - how thin do you want to be? How beautiful do you want to look? Disregard the billboards, the magazines, the stabs from your peers that tell you you're not good enough - what do you want for yourself? Now that…
  • It's better to do it weekly. If you do it daily, it's not very reliable - you're going to fluctuate and so it's best to give your body time to adjust itself and learn how to live with your new lifestyle habits.
  • I'm with you, I'm not particularly keen on foods high in processed ingredients, but hey- it's got no calories and it tastes good. So I'll be checking this out soon. Thanks!
  • Granola bars (90cal), greek yogurt vanilla (80cal) Fiber one brownies/chocolate chip cookie (90cal), skinny popcorn (1 cup = 39cal), almonds (13 = 80cal).
  • Yay!! Happy for you - even the tiny victories are worth celebrating. Keep on going and don't give up! You're doing awesome.
  • It takes 3-6 weeks before you can see any type of drastic change in your body. This takes time, be patient! Just make sure you're - tracking all your food. - drinking tons of water. - exercising. - measuring your hips/waist. Numbers on the scale are not everything!
  • I've already given up soda, chips, and cheese. Am starting to slowly give up white rice, whole wheat bread, pizza, and milk chocolate.
  • This is crazy, I am the exact same way. They all think I'm kindof on a random health kick and they're totally supportive (well, they're not out of their way supportive, but they're not against it either). My mom isn't against my whole healthy alternatives, she finds it rather humorous. It's probably not a good idea to go…
  • Check out my blog, I have a huge list of snacks under 100 calories.
  • I don't think there's anything wrong with binging itself. The stigma that comes with binging has more to do with the aftereffects and the potential cases of those various binge eating disorders. Even so, it's not anything to be ashamed about! You and your mom can help each other. If you talk to her and get her to…
  • Probably about as accurate as the picture.
  • Unless he wants a mad girlfriend or asking for a break-up, then that's probably the stupidest thing to say!
  • Greek Vanilla Yogurt. Oatmeal. Froyo (Red Mango is my BFF) Fiber-one chocolate chip cookie. Fruit. Fruit snacks. Almond butter. Check out my blog for snacks under 100 calories.
  • So you know that 1 pound = 3,500 calories....right? Well, seeing that if you eat smaller portions and exercise more often, you're going to see that margin of 3,500 (or more) at the end of the week. Losing weight, the healthy way, should be a slow process - give this about 3-6 weeks before giving up or feeling discouraged.…
  • It's not good to weigh yourself too much because this can be discouraging. It's recommended to do it weekly and some people do it monthly -up to you, really! The only thing people don't recommend is doing it daily. Don't care too much about the number on the scale and more about what you put into your mouth. Once you…
  • It's probably what you're eating that isn't keeping you full. If you keep yourself fed with tons of fiber and vegetables, you shouldn't be so famished. Usually when you eat foods like yogurt (especially very light, frothy yogurt), that's going to clear out your system pretty quickly. I think oatmeal, granola bars,…
  • I'm also trying to get a flat stomach. I do about 40 crunches every night, Russian twists, leg lifts, planks (if I can find some place to do them that don't kill my elbows), and bicycles. Check out www.blogilates.com if you need more pilates guidance. Cassey has amazing ab workouts - that's where I got some of mine from.
  • It's preferred to get around 6-7 hours of sleep per night. Any less and you start having a bigger appetite. I get probably around 4 hours of sleep, haha. It's horrible.
  • So glad you have such motivation to start over and get the ball rolling again!! Usually when I get down, I get so defeated and upset. But you're an inspiration, so thank you for sharing. If you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to hit me up. Friend request sent.
  • Exercising + HEALTHY diet = weight loss. I think that the skinnier you are, the harder it is to take the weight off. And the less noticeable it is. Make sure you're actually measuring your hips to see if you're losing - not just depending on the scale because that's not always accurate. Drink tons of water! Good luck,…
  • Weight watchers oftentimes have a list of restaurants that gives you advice/points on how their menu carries their calories. I always do this before I go out to eat and it helps me a lot - I'll know what to choose beforehand so I know what I'm putting into my body. If you can't find the restaurant name under WW's program,…
  • Skipping meals aren't recommended because it often tends to lead to binging later on in the day. Eating few calories at timely intervals is the best way to go. Or just eating a little bit whenever you're hungry. Don't skip meals! Not worth it.
  • Diets are meant to make people make healthier choices. If you restrict everyone on a quit-cold-turkey type of guideline, they're bound to binge and eat more. I love the list though, thanks for sharing! It just may not be everybody's cup of tea. Haha, pun intended.
  • This just means you have to increase your fiber intake. Fiber is the one that makes you stay "regular" and makes the process run smoothly. Plus, it's good for your hair [or so I've heard]. Bananas are known to have a very generous amount of fiber. So do Fiber One bars, but try to rely on more organic sources for your daily…
  • Hi, I'm 18 and I'm really aspiring to pursue medicine as a lifelong career! I look up to anybody and anyone that has also chosen this path. :) Even though I'm still a student, can I add you?
