Hope it's not too late to join! I soooooo need some motivation. I lost 56lbs using MFP previously (6 years ago and my 40th birthday was my big motivation!) and 30 of those freakin lbs have gone back on due to studying, no time, laziness and no gym, and falling into the worst eating patterns. I could do with all the help…

Loving the goal versus limit thing.. thank you..

 Always a difference of opinion, and I really really appreciate all of you taking time out to offer me advice and guidance. I'll stick with the 1200 cals per day, and not worry too much if I go slightly over on proteins and carb (i do try my absolute best to remain within the fats limits and do better at this one…

Same!! :( and bumping for later ;-)

I <3 my Polar FT4 :)

I stalled for a long time by eating back exercise cals and also trying NOT eating back exercise cals. My husband suggested looking at Scooby's site for nutrition (http://scoobysworkshop.com), and that site suggested that I manage my diet and weight loss goals by consuming 50% carbs, 30% Protein and 20% Fat (MFP lets you…

I agree with EmpathyBot - I've learned the tough way (after stalling with 10lbs to lose for about a year!), that 100 calories of junk is STILL JUNK!! I'm trying so hard not to put unhealthy fats in my body, and also I never ever ever DRINK CALORIES!! Your tummy needs to feel the bulk in calories to recognise you getting…

This one had me and my little girl (7) in stitches and constant rewind back and forth at Christmas when we first watched it together. Total catchphrase in our house now.. LOL!!

sorry, should have mentioned that I use my Polar FT4 HRM when exercising, so this for me is a better estimate than a slightly vague website.. I've heard a lot of people say they have a high burn at Zumba, but it didn't do it for me Good Luck! x
-
I went to a zumba class once and burned less than 200 calories. I haven't been back  Sticking to my step and indoor cycling classes which are a minimum of 400 calories +. But I'm hardcore!! LOL!!

I've had my Polar FT4 for just over a year now, and I started getting the same issues as you. I logged onto the Polar website online, and arranged a repair direct. They fixed my Polar within 1 week (sending me all the envelopes and stuff to post it back to them), and repaired it free of charge. The battery in the chest…

I know exactly how you feel. If someone had told me back in December that I'd still be the same weight now, I'd have cried, however, it's the last 10lbs with me too... so hard... but I think you're right, it's more self discipline and awareness than anything else. It's easier to cheat when you already feel and look and…

Some days you just need to write it off... I say call it a night and start afresh tomorrow. :flowerforyou: x

I sure am. I didn't used to eat breakfast, now i won't skip it, and drink between 5 and 10 glasses of water per day... My issue between meals I'm constantly hungry, and I start snacking, so going over my calories. I try to eat satisfying foods, oats, potatoes, beans etc etc, but this is obviously a psychological thing…

3 strikes and they're out! My motto for life, not just for MFP! :-)
