So rewarding to see this story, you look (and I'm sure...feel) great :) You're putting such good food into your body and it will be returned to you with good health, nice skin and nails, aerobic ability, etc...in addition to weight loss. Isn't it fun to see the muscles popping out from strength training? I really LOVE my…

I would think that a wedding band would indicate 'not single' :)

Anything sweet! Brownies, cupcakes, cake, milkshakes, Jamba Juice, cookies, candy bars, chocolate, caramel, hot fudge, peanut butter balls, waffles with lots of syrup, banana bread with chocolate chips and butter, very buttery/salty popcorn, etc... :)

Isn't it a great feeling to have clothes just slipping off of you? I ended up buying less expensive pieces in each size as I was losing, but I definitely was out of them quickly. Ross, consignment shops, and those shops where people turn in their clothes (Plato's closet) might be good places to look for now. I gave all of…

You could also try to manually verify the heart rate displayed on the monitor (I do this often). At a given displayed heart rate I'll stop and check the pulse in my neck for 10 seconds. Multiply times 6 for the heart rate per minute, and compare it to the number you were seeing on the monitor. If the numbers match or are…

My arms! I've received a lot of compliments, and one woman even asked if she could touch them...

How much have you lost? 88 lbs How long did it take? a long time, I lose weight very slowly. About 32 months total. Am almost to goal of 145. On average do you lose more than 2lbs a week? I can't remember, it's been so long and I lose SO slowly.

I've been in the 150's for SO LONG now! Still 153...after weight workouts I go up 1 or 2lbs for a few days, then back down to 153. The other day I saw a whisper of 152.5, but then back to 153 - argh! Is there a specific group to join (and if so, how?), or do I just keep following this thread? Thanks so much - Kristina

I've been working with a trainer for over 1.5 years 2x per week, and I'm invariably sore after each and every workout - it does not go away after a few sessions. My thoughts are that if it's comfortable, then the value of the training session isn't at the maximum. Just my .02 - I know it's hard!

I've been chubby almost my whole life. For me thinner is definitely the exception, never the rule. It's hard to get used to being lighter...started this journey at 238, CW 153.

Well even better then...you're doing great!

Hi e1lindsay, How tall are you? I think a 12-minute mile is really good, especially just starting out! I'm 5'4", I can do a couple of 10 minute miles, but its a challenge. Then I slow down. I think 11 and 12 minute miles are a nicely comfortable pace. Let me know...thanks, Kristina

That is so NOT LAME! Good for you :) You can build up to whatever level of jogging/running that you are comfortable with...you can do it!

Oh that last stretch :) I'll hope for good MFP and calorie karma - good luck! (And congrats on the progress already made)...

I love seeing people work out at the gym, and I have a super-big soft spot for the 'not-skinny' people I see. Why? Because I WAS/AM in the same boat! I might look smaller now, but *believe me* I've been there 83 lbs ago - and I'M PULLING FOR YOU and want you to succeed! I know how hard this is. I don't judge peoply by…

I make a batch of steel cut oats and refrigerate the leftovers to heat up during the week before work - it is super fast and easy. At night before bed (usually 1x per week): Boil 4 cups water Once water has boiled, turn it off. Add 1 cup Country Choice Organic Steel Cut Oats (they use this brand at Jamba Juice, you can buy…

I like egg salad, just go easy on the light mayo. Or they have canned chicken breast to make a quick chicken salad.

How fun for you! It can be hard to believe sometimes, until other people comment :)

So cool...maybe you can post a picture of yourself in the dress?

Good for you!!!

I've been doing this with a group of ladies that are on the same journey. I was very resistant to 'throwing away' my clothes, after all, I paid good money for them, I picked them out myself, and I liked them! Just because i was quickly going through sizes didn't mean I wanted those clothes to never be worn again. I told…

Maybe you can move your dinner to a bit later time, maybe by 1/2 hour? This helped me...I used to eat at 5:00 - 5:30pm, and would be starving again by 8pm. Now we have dinner between 7-8pm, and it seems to curb the late night snacking. I go to bed at 11pm.
