You ROCK Buddy!!!!! You motivate me daily! Great job and congratulations!!!

Brian, I guess I'm not really sure what to tell you except that your final goal weight should be whatever you want it to be. As long as you're happy and healthy, don't necessarily try to fit into some chart somewhere. I'm 6'0" also, when I graduated from high school, I was 206 lbs, I went into the army 3 days later and…

I am wearing an XL shirt today, down from XXXXL.

I won't avoid them, but they are not my first choice anymore as they would have been in the past. And I, like you, would eat until I was literally miserable. I've been to 2 of them since I started this and both were Chinese, I was very particular what I ate, and I definitely paid attention to portion control.

Greek or regular non-at yogurt and hard boiled eggs are my main stay for breakfast. I keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge all the time, I peel a couple the night before and put them in a small glad container, grab them with a yogurt in the morning and head off too work.

First of all, Thank you for your service! Your second paragraph is the absolute truth in this adventure. I'm 55 and working on changing a whole lot of stuff, food, exercise, I quit smoking, etc, etc. You have the right mind set, and I would be honored to have you as a friend.
-
You look absolutely amazing!!! Keep it up, I know how hard it is, but the payoff is well worth the effort.
-
I would jump on their facebook page and post exactly what you wrote here!!!!

Now that's funny!

I quit over 2 months ago and have continued to lose (over 20lbs), you can do it if you are determined enough.

You know, that may be a thought for the new activity. I have never been able to skate, old school skates or otherwise. I lived in Germany for a total of about 6 years when I was in the Army (my daughter was born in Augsburg). We used to Volksmarch almost every weekend. It was a great way to see the country, get some…

Thank you everyone for the amazing comments, I'm humbled!

I went from 48 pants down to 44 to 42. Shirts went from 4&5XL down to 2&3XL. I have definitely come to find out that as I go down in sizes, the brand of the clothes determines the size I wear. And for who I did it, a lot of work and eating much better than I had been.

After I get down another twentysome pounds, my goal will be maintaining. I really think that will be a challenge so I have to set up a program that is going to make me continue what I am doing but not get bored. Another thing is, as part of my works wellness challenge, one of the items is to take on a new activity, so I…

51 pounds. I started at 342 on 21 Jan 2013, and was down to 291 on 18 Mar. It can be done, but you have to be dedicated and ready to work, and make some serious life style changes.

She's the biggest reason I'm doing this! :-)

Steve, with the exception of walking (can't run because of my knee) and golfing, my exercise has been exclusively with the Wii.

Not rude at all, nor snarky. I would say I was gaining weight before I started, I went from 317 to 342 the year prior to starting here. When I decided to make the commitment to the change, I checked out my TDEE and BMR on a few different websites. It ranged from 3200-3500 cals a day to maintain my svelte 342 physique. I…

And it's the friends like you that keep me coming back and doing what I'm doing, so thanks to you too!!

I went cold turkey. I did quite a bit of web research, found a site, www.neversmokeagain.com, it's free, makes sense, I followed it and it worked for me. As you go thru it, it might sound a little corny, but if you believe it, do what they say, it will work.

Thanks everyone!

Man, you look great, amazing job! Be proud!

I agree with all of the above. It amazes me how many people treat this like Facebook, or that it's a contest to see how many friends you can collect. It's not about that at all. You gotta do the work to see the results. And the friends you get along the way should definitely be friends that not only give support and…
