I would log it as jogging- your heart rate stays up pretty well during the walking intervals (or at least mine does). I would say probably 5.0 mph?

I know what you mean- it's hard to get started/back on track. I really have to FORCE myself to run/go to the gym, but once I do I feel so much better and that's what keeps me going the next day. Keep it up, and stay positive!

I don't know about other dvd's (I do like the Biggest Loser cardio max dvd, though), but JM is coming out with a buns & thighs dvd soon!

My heart rate often gets to 181 or so when I run- it's fast but I'm not about to pass out from it, either. I say, listen to your body. If you take a pause, do you start to get dizzy? That's happened to me when hiking (taking a rest and I get dizzy), and that's my clue to slow down a little.

I just chill mine, add a splash of milk and stevia (same thing I do with my hot coffee in the morning).

Oatmeal with fruit in it is good for me. I also buy bran flakes in bulk- takes up quite a bit of my carbs, though... I also agree with the many others before me about egg white scrambles with veggies OR cottage cheese with fruit.

The watches with the strap are the most accurate. Mine came with the strap (not sold separately) but I got mine from Target. Chest strap, definitely! I have the New Balance N4 ($70 from Target and I love it!) Steer clear of the Sportline brand- I had to return mine because it didn't work.

Cool, thanks guys! It's kind of sad to see my calorie burn less and less for doing the same work but I just have to keep telling myself I am getting in better shape! Totally worth it!

Definitely make sure you are cutting the carbs down as much as possible- try only carbs from fruits, veggies and whole grains and that should help. Plus, make sure you are drinking a lot of water!

I record Saturday mornings BUT I try to not look more than twice a week- I felt like I was getting kind of obsessed with the scale :(
