  • I have a fitbit too, and what I believe it's doing is estimating your TDEE, it counts you burning calories during non-exercise periods, like even when you are sitting watching TV your fitbit counts calories burned. it then counts up and send to MFP the calories on top of what would have been burned if you were just…
  • I count it as my water intake unless it is black tea with milk. green and various herbal teas usually have VERY little or even NO caffeine so they are really just leaves infused into water and they are hydrating you just about as much as plain old water. I love tea! right now I am having lots of fun making my own iced tea…
  • I already have one that's a literary reference. there is a french children's book called Le Petit Prince (the little prince) that is very profound. I have ink on my ride side from my back to front along the ribs that says "Te deviends responsable, pour toujours, de ce que tu as apprivoisé" translated - "You are…
  • I tried the skinny girl white wine last night and thought it was pretty good! I have also tried Molson 67 and enjoyed it too :)
  • Lately I've started taking a psyllium seed husk powder once a day, because I know I'm addicted to the feeling of being over-stuffed so I end up eating more than I should. Psyllium is one of the ingredients in metamucil and "keeps you regular" LOL it's a big source of fiber (5g in one tsp). BUT psyllium also swells to over…
  • I started donating within six months of my 17th birthday (when you're allowed to start here in canada) and was successful the first time. The second time I completed the donation but fainted upon taking the needle OUT of my arm. The third time I shouldn't really have been allowed to donate - my blood pressure was below…
  • My boyfriend got me one for my birthday but I am still waiting on it to be shipped :( I live in Canada so I guess he was told 4-6 weeks, which should be aaaannnnyy day now...
  • I like to log it in my diary bc sometimes herbal teas and such can have a couple carbs even if they are zero-calorie. but then I also click to add a cup of water to my count. tea w/o caffeine is as hydrating as water. people that claim only "pure" water hydrates you are crazy.
  • oh god I am a tea NUT, I currently love bulk barn's Pomegranate Lavender Green tea, also Blueberry White tea is great too my old time favourite is of course Tetley orange pekoe but for my earl grey cravings I love Cream of Earl Grey from David's Tea. also from David's Tea "Three Lemon Green" makes some AMAZING home brewed…
  • Born in Windsor, Ontario and now living in Ottawa the beautiful capital. feel free to add me!
  • bump for all these awesome ideas! It is going to be harder to find some things (like diet cream soda and diet cherry dr pepper in canada) but I really want to try some of these! thanks to the creative geniuses on here!
  • I used to work at mcdonalds when I was much younger, and they actually have it in their training manual that you burn about 150 calories an hour working there. So when I started using MFP, I was working at a movie theatre and still moving around a lot but not as much as at Mcds, and created my own exercise burning about…
  • I don't have a HRM nor the money to buy one right now, so I understand the frustration in trying to log stuff like this! I would try it as "calisthenics" in MFP right now, because at least that takes your age/weight into consideration and put in how long it takes you from start to finish without stopping. don't count on it…
  • JM suggests 5-6 days a week, so I think I'm going to try and do SMT-rest-ThF-rest, then start the new week's video on the sunday. If I'm feeling energized or am not getting any other exercise on the Wednesday I'm going to do it 6 days a week.
  • amazing! not just your tummy but also I see a big difference in your face and shoulders. great progress! pumped for our ripped in 30 group and to see your before/after from that at the end of the month!
  • thank you for all the advice everyone!
  • Hey! I've also only got a few more pounds to go then its all about staying that way. would love to be your friend and keep you on track!
  • I like to ignore my exercise calories and stick to the goal, if I do a lot of cardio it usually means I'm a lot hungrier or "snacky" at the end of the day so I use those extra calories to cover a healthy snack, but only when my body tells me I need it and only healthy (fruits and veggies usually because I find them more…
  • Hello! I'm Alex, a university student and trying to be healthy! I'd love to get some more friends and keep each other motivated! Feel free to add me! :)
  • feel free to add me too! I'm 19 and trying to shape up!

  • I am doing the 30DS as well and every couple days doing some extra cardio as well (elliptical, running or biking) and find it to be fine. Just be prepared to up your calorie intake as well, the day after I add the extra cardio I am always SO snacky and want to eat everything in sight so I stay stocked up on low-cal fruits…
  • Hi, I'm Alex! Just joining into the group now but I'm on L2D4 now, and my body is loving it! It's definitely a TOUGH workout and I'd love some friends going through the same thing everyday. I'm 19 and about 130 pounds, mostly looking to build muscle with this workout and stay in shape before summer comes! Feel free to add…
  • Just joining here! I've been doing 30DS for almost two weeks now, on L2D3 today so I'm a couple days ahead but I'd love to join! Did measurements today and noticed I'm down an inch off my hips and two off my waist, and can actually SEE my upper ab muscles forming, I love it! The plank exercises in L2 kill me though, is…
