Congratulations on the loss of 103 lbs! That is awesome and inspiring. I lost a bunch of weight quick and hit the wall. I struggled with it in my mind and tried so many different things but sat still. One of the best pieces of advice I've gotten is to stop worrying about the scales so much. Below I've posted some pictures…

Started at 470, been at 385-390 for about 3 weeks...still losing inches but stuck on the number. I've lost 14-16 SIZES of pants (I don't button below my belly, and I couldn't buy pants at Christmas before the Jan 2013 pic...at the BIG & TALL store). Don't have the measurements of the other stuff.

That's great, keep up the awesome work!

I'm getting close! I haven't been on the scales in about 3 weeks but it's getting better all the time. October 2012 (before I started in January of 2013) at 470 lbs: January 2013, about two weeks in: Tonight (July 4, 2013):

Put your pictures side by side in a photo program (you can even use Microsoft Publisher, just save it as a .jpg, and then be sure and crop it down to size); add a box on the bottom with the data you want (date, weight, etc); then save it as a photo. Upload it to photobucket.com, or some other photo sharing site, and post…

I lift for about an hour (mostly a dumbbell workout) 2 or 3 times a week. I also follow the lift with cardio work of 30-90 minutes. I started out doing 5 minutes of cardio, and it was a killer...so start small and build it. I also do some bike riding and walking. Start with walks, then progress as you lose weight. The best…

Long way to go, but here's 70+ down:

So the last time I was in ONEderland was in 6th or 7th grade. I remember weighing 205 lbs on my 8th grade athletic physical in 1982. I weighed 300+ as a senior in high school. Onederland may be mythical for me.

Incredible!

Thanks everybody! You are all so great to encourage me. Here is a compilation pic I put together this evening, it's not any new pics, just a cohesive timeline, as it were. Cheers and have a GREAT MEMORIAL DAY!!!

Took a couple of pics today (this evening actually), I coach football & powerlifting and I also teach music. We are at the State Solo & Ensemble competition for the state of Texas, in Austin, TX, and four of our football players who are in choir asked to lift with me at 11:00 PM, tonight. Here they are (15-16 y/o): Here is…

I weighed in this morning and was at 390.6. So, I count 460 as my start weight here on MFP, because I can quantify it, but I was at LEAST 470 at Christmas, couldn't fit in my size 64 (I think that's the size) slacks. Those slacks are falling off of me now with my belt on the last notch, and it is basically useless at this…

My daily goal is 2,790, but I am most usually in the 1,700-1,900 range. When I exercise I try not to roll the numbers. What I mean is that I don't add the calories to my total and keep eating. I think I've only been over on calories one day since I started, and I'm almost always way under. I try to keep sugar under, which…

I count calories and work hard to keep Fat and Sugar in check. Sodium seems to be high often, but I drink a bunch of water (been over 10 a day lately), so it works out. I am over my macro in protein often, and under 1/2 in Carbs & Fats. I started on 1/11/13, and have lost 54 as of this morning. I work out 2-3 times a week…

The best exercise is what you will do. So, decide what that is and get to stepping. Walk, run, lift weights, swim, squash, yoga, whatever. Never give up...Never surrender!

Thanks folks, I do feel happier. I have been big my entire life and it seems that pictures are almost required to see a change...I always "feel" like I'm huge. I hope you all have a great Easter!
