You don't have to do either of those to strengthen your core, there are plenty of other exercises you can do! I agree that you should look through YouTube for ideas. Crunches should be easier for your back.

It's the weekend. It's supposed to be "time off from strict stuff." My willpower has been tested many times these past few weekends. Been giving it a good workout, it feels stronger..

ME ME ME ME! I actually need help with the FIRST 5 lol.
-
One day at a time, it will get easier.

OH NO!! How rude. NEVER should you say that to a person.. weight can be changed, being a douche is permanent.
-
I wasn't completely aware of how hard it was going to be to commit to getting healthy. The meal planning, the workout planning, the workouts, the cooking... It's not JUST about "I'm going to the gym 3 times a week."

I had the same thoughts actually. I also think this- if you start now and continue during and after your pregnancy eating better and working out it will all be ok.

I was told by my doctor to lower my sodium intake a bit more to help in my weight loss efforts. And I was given the "foods to avoid" list. In it was stuff that I love- ham, cheese, bacon and sausage... So today I had a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch... Yeah...

MIO!!! I LOVE, I have increased my water intake dramatically after finding this. It helps make water less boring.

I found kashi cereal which tastes great as a snack, the blueberry clusters one is good.

I agree, I don't want to be a negative Nancy, I like having friends and family around lol. Like most of you said, I'll mind ma business ,STFU and lead by example.

Cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato. I won't last long, it will kill me in a year or two but it will be a good time until then..

Agreed. It's something he needs to understand that is good for the BOTH of you and should be doing it together. Talk to him. Find out why he is acting so selfish. Make it a family affair tell the kids to help dad get better, something.. I also believe you should cook only what you need, and have better snack food in the…

No crying here.. I spend most my energy now doing some form of workout instead of feeling sorry about anything. I agree it's worth letting go all that stuff as well As good as it is you don't really need it in your life... R.I.P junk food.

This. Please. The scale shouldn't be the only form of verification that you need during your weight lose journey, take measurements instead. Good luck.

Agreed.

If I workout in the morning I usually prepare breakfast the night before as well. Awesome time saver. I'd do egg whites and veggie omelette with toast even a grilled chicken salad. My workouts sometimes require a bit more than cereal sometimes. A piece of fruit I usually have for breakfast or a yogurt along with those…

Good list, but I don't believe in magic. Everything that is there is good to eat and good for you though, I've gotten in the habit of eating/drinking them.

Don't expect your eating habits to be perfect EVERY day. Start fresh the next day. Keep track of HOW you slipped up (ate too much, ate junk food, had too much soda etc.) to look back on to help you learn from your mistakes. It's ok to slip up. It's not ok to keep doing it. Keep yourself moving.

I had the same problem. I saw a nutritionist and the only thing I was told was to make sure the sugar I was eating came from fruits and not junk food. You need said items for your body to function properly and for your workouts as well. You should be ok.

He has issues he needs to take care of himself. No man should treat a woman any differently just because of her weight. You will still be the same person thin or fat. If he wasn't happy with your weight in the end(?) then he wasn't in the beginning, he just never told you up front. Getting healthy should be done for…

Lifting weights should be a part of your regime. Do it anyway and prove him wrong. You are doing this for yourself anyhow, right? He should support you regardless. Tell him to look up how lifting weights effects women for the BETTER. Ignorance leads to silly comments and thoughts.
-
Yes. You look pretty.

I had the same moments when I started; I did good for a few days and went back to my old ways(fast food and soda drinking etc). The motivation to get up and change wasn't all there yet. The dedication to go to the gym and change my eating habits wasn't there either. It was only when I sat back and finally thought of the…

I was getting dressed to go out one night, and everything EVERYTHING I put on just didn't look and feel right. I looked in the mirror and realized finally just how out of shape I had really gotten. It didn't feel good at all.

I had the same issue. I was giving my gym their membership every month and I also wouldn't go. I would go for a week then be MIA for months at a time. What helped me was making a plan. How many days do I want to workout?what body parts to work on?what day?It helped me a lot. Sometimes(I think) if you don't have a plan then…

I'm a novice runner, and I found myself with the same situation, and like yourself it was pretty much driving me mad. I changed my shoes as well, but also my speed and stride. Eventually after a few sessions I no longer get them. Try walking for a bit before you run to warm up a bit. Good luck.

I felt that way earlier this week also. Try doing something that relaxes you to clear your head, and yes, drink more water can help. Yoga maybe? Sometimes all you need is quiet.

I love me and I think I look awesome and I can only look better. Measurements as of today are 34,29,42.

Saw it, skimmed through it.. no thanks.
