You can do it ! :) I am trying to lose weight to improve my riding as well. It's just extra motivation. When all else fails, do it for the horses! You can friend me if you want and we can motivate eachother :)

Yes, I spend about 5 minutes warming up and stretching before I run and I cool down afterwards.

Try a ballet workout. They are really good to tone all muscles and if you do the exercises faster can be a great cardio workout as well. Not to mention its fun! :)
