More of an observation or some user's intellect, but thanks for your input

Seriously, the level of snark on this site is incredibly annoying. I swear some people do nothing more than troll through posts all day, looking for the chance to berate someone else. Nobody made you read her post. If it's too long for your wee attention span, or you don't share the share the same view (and aren't able to…

In addition, your sodium intake is way over on most days. Cut back on the salty foods, and drink over 8 glasses of water a day. Stop eating processed/fast foods and eat more lean meats, fish and leafy greens, other vegetables and fruits (although if you want to lose weight, I wouldn't eat a ton of fruit). Also, six…

You didn't gain it in a few weeks, you won't lose it in a few weeks.

Drink lots of water. I also take Digestive Enzymes...seems to help w/bloated feeling

women definitely do NOT need additional soy - unless it is of the fermented variety. Nothing wrong with consuming whey protein, especially if you are working out. What was his reasoning behind "it's not for women"?

1989 Jaguar XJ6 and 1998 BMW 740iL - i like old school!

Exactly!

Why not get a bran cereal (or other type) w/o fruit in it (you could add your own banana if you don't want to eat it plain.? If you just want more fiber, you could eat oatmeal (add chia seeds or flax for extra fiber), beans/legumes, veggies (broccoli, brussels sprouts, artichokes are great sources of fiber), raspberries,…

At the very least, remove all unhealthy snacks and replace them with better options (veggies, raw nuts, etc)from your kitchen - that way if you are unable to refrain from eating you will at least be consuming good options.

Are you kidding??? The guy commits a crime (KNOWS it's a crime and does it anyway!), and cheats on her and you want to say she's possibly to blame??? Thanks for setting women back 50 yrs...maybe she should just greet him at the door, barefoot, apron on and drink in hand... SMH....

Nicely done....congratulations!!

I used Starting Strength to move away from using Smith machine for squats (kept hearing how you can't get proper squat form using it), and it was a great help in learning to understand the proper form. I started at 30# because I was concerned about not being able to lift any heavier than that and wanted to be sure I got my…

I do the roast chicken (or turkey) as well. Jerky is a good source as well - unless you have issues w/sodium (I make my own now because of that). Egg whites (make a shake w/egg whites, greek 0% yogurt, unsweetened almond milk and almond butter - gives you over 30g of protein). Ricotta cheese or dry curd cottage cheese are…

You shouldn't work the same body part two days in a row if you're doing intense muscle-group focused workouts. Nor should you do the same type of cardio every day. An elliptical machine is much easier on the your joints than treadmills. You could also try cycling or rowing machine.

do NOT switch to diet soda - it is absolutely HORRIBLE for you.
-
You didn't just have a day of "too much food" - you have several days of unhealthy food. Look at the your diary, virtually everything you consume is loaded w/sodium. It's not just the amount of calories you consume, it's also WHAT you consume. Substituting Coke for MD doesn't really count as making a healthy choice.

^ This! And you're eating nothing but fast food and/or processed foods, again super high in sodium and and high calorie content w/o a lot of real nutritional value. Start making your own meals (NOT Hamburger helper or instant potatoes) so that you can control what goes into your food and thus, your body.
-
Stop eating crap food...that is deli meats and chips - notoriously high in sodium. And it's only been 14 days, years of bad eating habits will not be gone in just two weeks.

Not wanting your child to fail a grade is being a helicopter parent???!

Just wanted to say thank you for taking him in for a bit, giving him the care he needed and finding a suitable home for him. You and your family are awesome!

pretty sure she doesn't give a rats if men like it or not....she has Portia

You could always reply that you don't wish to slowly poison your mind and body with all the processed crap that goes into those type of "treats", and then say "but you go ahead and help yourself to it".

Make your own, use coconut aminos and spices ( try using Trader Joe's 21 spice of Every Day spice mixes) to marinate the meat.

Rather than trying to focus on one particular muscle, do moves that engage your entire core area - deadlifts, squats are great for this, also planks. In addition, good posture will help, which also means strengthening your back - lat pulldowns, hyperextensions...
-
Snack on things that are higher in calories, but healthy. Raw almonds, avocado, almond butter, jerky (I make my own so that it's not so sodium laden).

^^ This!
