I would try talking to the owners about the safety of the dog also. If they don't seem to be too concerned, then I would contact animal control. This will probably make them mad, but if they are not going to keep their dog under control you have no other options. If you choose to not say anything, I have found that…

You have already gotten some good advice, so I won't repeat a lot of it. I'm more fan of scouring CraigsList, etc., looking for a higher quality bike, that someone just isn't using anymore. Just make sure it fits your frame. My bike shop mechanics are always willing to give a quick look over a used bike, to let the…

I am not a member of a club now (once was but moved) but I do ride with our LBS. We have several groups that ride at different speeds and most have no drop rides available. Plus there are always a few people that seen to ride the same pace. There is even a group for new riders which teaches them the rules of the road and…

I think everyone would like one!

I have used it several times. It gives me a little different reading in avg mph than my bike computer, but the gps distance is function is better. Easy to use.

Never had the RD to drop, but had FD break and would have to reach down and move it to different chain ring. Wouldn't you know it, that was on a hill ride too. What a pain.

No, really don't see how it would benefit me.

I would suggest a few things: 1. Make sure bike fits properly. LBS can help with this. 2. wear good pair of gloves. Available at LBS for about $20 3. Adjust riding position, as you are riding, to relieve stress on lower arms and hands Glad you are able to ride again and hope these suggestions help.

+2 Nice! Wow the under 15 lbs is amazing.

Definitely not lame. I have run many races where there are walkers. I personally tell them I hope they have a good walk. Just start toward the back.

False I have never been to Spain.

I think I have seen that frame somewhere before. Have you posted it on any other forums? Maybe bikeforums.com? If not someone has the exact same frame. Looks great. Would like to see it when you have it finished like you want.

I must warn you ... triathlons are addicting. I have competed in several from sprint to olympic distance. It does take a good bit of training, but nothing that I don't think you could do. You should go to beginnertriathlete.com. You must register, but to start it is free. They have training programs suited for the time you…

Like to do both - road and mtn. Here in east TN we have great trails mtn bikers and roads for road racers. Try to alternate rides so my Trek 4300 doesn't get jealous of my Giant OCR and vice-versa.

First of all, love the Fuji you have now. It is sweet spot in my heart for older road bikes. I now ride a Giant OCR but wish I had kept my old Trek T1000. Now for my 2 cents. There are a few differences and upgrades. The newer has triple chain ring, which is good for climbing and a 9 speed rear cassette, making it a 27…

I have had several chase but never hit one. If I see them and have enough time to prepare a loud yell and squirt from the water bottle will deter them. Man. you are having trouble with autos and dogs! Glad you were not hurt worse.

I am fortunate to live in a bicycle friendly area. I do a good deal of road biking and most people will give adequate space when passing, however sometimes car drivers can be pains in the *kitten*. I think the worst are those idiots who get even with you and blow the horn. I once had a conversation with an non-cyclist who…

The biggest difference I see is the shifters. The Tiagra shifters are a little better than than the Sora. I personally don't like the little thumb shifter on the side of the Sora. The 10 vs 9 cassette really won't be a big difference. The third front crank will come in real handy if you live in, or will be riding in a…

I don't do it intentionally, but I know it is there in the back of my mind. Just like gained calories for exercise, I try to stay within the original daly calorie amount. I don't think it would be that bad to be under a few calories a day as long as you are not below a safe level. An once in a while is ok as long as not on…

Missed the peace sign the first time. Very nice touch.

Think you have been given some good advice here. Best is proper fitting at LBS. That will get you in proper position, then would also try different hand positions on the bars. Hope you get it corrected and good cycling.

Road bike is Giant OCR2 and mountain bike is Trek 4300

Awesome!
