  • There's a pretty active vegan/veg community but it is more vocal in some of the groups. You might check out the groups section to see if you find any groups that match your personal beliefs and needs. The most active vegan/veg group that I've found 'round these parts is…
  • My first was Claus from Last Exile (anime), I've since done other anime outfits, right now I'm working my way through DC villains, Bane is next. I've also been working on a movie accurate Boba Fett Suit for 4 years now... toughest costume I've worked on thus far and I might never finish, although I'd sure like to join the…

  • I started by making a costume and going to a con. Once I met some others, I got better at making costumes, went to more cons, and the cycle continues.

  • Howdy. There are lots of plant based dieters 'round these parts, but I've found that most of them are more active in the groups area. Here's a link to the most active group I've found in that area: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/45-happy-herbivores You'll find other, like minded people, recipes, etc. Good luck…
  • Your diary is closed so I can't take a look and see what you've got going on, but I look at it like this: Protein and fat goals are minimums for me. I don't worry about going over either of them. Carbs are the remainder of my calories, so I try to keep them under the goal or up to. No matter the macro split, if you are…
  • Pea protein is not the tastiest and tends to mix a bit thicker than other proteins that I have tried. I didn't really find it pleasurable... but it was tolerable. I much prefer a blended protein that contains pea protein as opposed to just straight pea proteins. It's also not one of the cheaper proteins in my area, so it…
  • Sedentary desk job myself. 6-7 hours exercise, and some yoga on the off days, around 16-17% BF as well. We're like twinsies with differing metabolic needs. ;)
  • I'm just going to leave this here. https://www.ncsf.org/enew/articles/articles-poundofmuscle.aspx "1 lb of muscle = 0.45 kg lean mass x .035 L (10 METS) x 60 min x 5 kcal/L = 4.7 kcal/hour per pound" OP, I found it helpful to eat more calorie dense foods when I'm trying to gain, and eating more often, not because of any…
  • I'm currently at 225 weight wise. I maintain at 2800, and I slow bulk at about .5 lbs a week at 3000... This formula, without the added 500 would put me at 3825 kcal/day... this is well over a slow bulk for me. Everyone will be different.... some more than others.
  • There are plenty of veg and vegans around. You might have pretty good luck making the connections that you want if you look in the groups area. These are the two most active plant based groups that I've found 'round these parts. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/45-happy-herbivores…
  • Can you share your form video so people can give you pointers on where your form might be breaking down? Or at least see what you are referring to?
  • How far above the ground were you dropping the bar? Personally, I lower it all the way to the floor. I find the negatives to be helpful to the exercise. Sometimes I even pause the motion halfway down and simply hold it there.... it helps me to identify weak spots in my form. *edited because grammar and spelling is hard
  • In Colorado, at least, it's to discourage the purchase or was in the past. I'm not currently sure what the new ballot initiative will do since it's no longer my district and not on my ballot. In the past, it was lumped the general use/city tax paid for by my employers. That money, at the time, was generally used for city…
  • I've lived here since 2008 and it was my job at the time to apply this tax to items for sale. The new ballot shifts the burden from the consumer, who paid the tax previously, to the distributor. So, it will apply at time of lading, as opposed to at the register as it currently does. But currently it doesn't apply only to…
  • Some places in the US already do this. Boulder, Colorado has had a "Fat tax" on products that contain sugar but no flour or leavener since at least 2010... longer I think.
  • I just didn't log it... that means it didn't happen... right? :#
  • I had the P.B. & Cookies... it was pretty darn good... and I totally didn't eat the whole thing at one time. B) (I'm lying... I totally did) I'm also a big fan of So Delicious brand products as well.
  • Unfortunately, it doesn't really work that way as spot reduction is not possible. Where you lose weight first or last is largely genetic and can't really be influenced other than continued calorie deficit and overall fat loss. For many, the stomach or midsection is the last to go, and it's just something we have to grow…
  • I have a friend who practically lives on the stuff. The new formula is actually fairly tasteless, so you end up adding things to it to flavor it. It's not bad, but I prefer to eat food. I'd use it in a pinch... *shrug*

  • Personally, I'm a fan of 500 over TDEE. It's a nice slow bulk that doesn't encourage too much fat gains for me. For me, this equates to about .75 to 1 lb a week. As for how long to bulk, well, in my opinion the joke holds true... "Bulk till you hate yourself, and then cut until you can't stand it." I mean that jokingly,…
  • What are your normal go-to sources of protein? I'm partial to seitan, tofu, tempeh, Field Roast brand products, beans, legumes, and protein powders. There are lots of different options including dairy products, greek yogurt, etc. You're really only limited by what you like to eat.
  • Not really at all unless you are going over total calories. Personally, I treat protein and fat goals as a minimum, eat up to those and fill the remainder with carbs. Although I'm on a high protein diet by choice, though so your mileage may vary.
  • I personally found the ecosystem and UI of the xbox to be lacking, but then again, I didn't like the original, nor did I like the 360. Personally, I've always enjoyed the Playstation/Sony systems better, but that's just me. If you plan on playing online multiplayer, I'd say go with whatever system you have more friends on.…

  • Yup. I'm in the 100gr/day club for fats. But fats and carbs are what I find satiating. I'm also high protein, but that's mainly because of my lifestyle/exercise choices.

  • Personally, I see a lot of room for inaccuracy in your logging. You're logging things in portions, serving sizes, etc. In order to really get a handle on your actual intake, it's highly advisable to acquire a food scale and log everything solid in grams. This will give you a better, more accurate understanding of what you…
  • I went vegan keto once to drop some water weight. That was the most miserable diet ever... not even kidding. My list of foods was so narrow that I was pretty much only eating highly processed protein foods and fats like coconut oil. I'll never do that again unless I need to cut for a comp or something.

  • I often do fairly intense yoga/power yoga/vinyasa yoga. My main goal is gaining strength/bodybuilding. Yoga is often my rest day simply for increased flexibility, which I struggle with and always have. I do think it's a good workout... but it's never going to replace lifting or bodyweight exercises for me and my personal…
  • Yes... I drink Wyler's light, but practically the same thing.
