yeah, it could be that the extra weight is hurting your knees and joints. I'm an ex-runner and i wont do any jogging/running with this much weight because i know all too well what it does to my knees. But I enjoy good walks without any physical pain. its definitely worth buying a soft knee sleeve for support, i played…

job well done. congrats. btw, does that green t-shirt still fit?

thanks Trinity. It's a Mccormick recipe if you want to look it up. Egg Benedict the last time i went out to mimi's cafe the sauce was so weak, i decided to stay in. however, i forgot how laborious the whole process can be, but so worth it.

regardless of how much each jumping jack can burn, 1000 jacks is a nice goal. thanks! if you want to finish in one week. you need to do 143 jacks for the next seven days. http://www.livestrong.com/article/312289-burned-calories-per-jumping-jack/

congrats potatocar and thanks for the insight. you're so right, climbing trees brings back all kinds of good feelings, as adults we forget we need to enjoy the little things. good luck on the rest of your journey.

i'm curious, is it "bad" to work out 7 days/ week. doesn't the body need rest?
-
I like this! too bad I'm too busy to start doing this

i dont pay attention to macros because they always end up the same no matter how I eat looking at the phone app, it says, i hit between 40-48% carbs from my daily calorie allowance If I wanted to lower my carb amount, I would have to make conscious effort to do so

howdy folks, I just joined and wanted to say Hi just a guy from southern california here, gonna weigh myself tomorrow and start this. I need more accountability than I have right now, the scale hasn't moved in seven weeks, ate maintenance for about 4 days the last 7 days so i could give my body a break, didnt know what…
-
where this gets tricky is when you start eating foods that dont have a proper calorie label. What ends up happening is you start estimating how much you think it is and if you are off, suddenly you could be eating at maintenance without realizing it. example: there's this awesome artisan carrot cake at vons, in the bakery…

is there going to be a July Challenge, if so, I'd love to join.

Two types of folks get singled out during BT 1. Those that come in with a Me-centric way of thinking. You are there to follow orders, do as you’re told, and not question your supervisors. The only thing that should be coming out of your mouth is Yes Sir & No Sir 2. Those that struggle with any of the three components from…

Hi Gnome, were the standards that relaxed 10 years ago? It looks like with every passing year, they get easier and easier. You can PM answer if you like.

chicken stew (drums & thighs, red pepper, red potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, onions, garlic, spinach, peas, corn)

you've lost an entire adult sized person. that is some serious hard work, congrats on your new lifestyle and all your success.

since you'll be at 1200 cals, i would recommend not drinking any beverages with calories. just stick with water, coffee, tea. and dont waste your limited calories on empty cals (cookies, cakes, and the likes), but stick with foods that are going to keep you full. you can easily drop at least 10 lbs in a month when first…

lingonberries, lingonberries into a stick of butter then gently put on top of crepes, powdered sugar, & whipped cream.
-
i find myself the happiest when ive left at least 50% of my daily cals for the evening (dinner and late snacks)
-
got it, a diet break sounds exactly what you need. im in the same boat too, scale hasn't move in 6 weeks, doesnt bother me too much, but since im new to dieting, i'm trying to figure out what's my next move
-
i would love to read more stories as well about diet breaks. OP, your ticker says you only have 4 more lbs to go, is that right? if that's the case, you should def. start upping your cals gradually and congrats on your hard work.
-
is the OP just wondering about walking? when i go for my 30 min walk, it doesnt matter if I do it before my lunch or after my lunch. I feel the same. if we are talking about HIIT, then I def. dont want to have a full belly.

bacon egg croissant with cherry tomatoes & mushrooms i finally figured out why my pics are sometimes blurry on one side....the lens is catching the hot steam from my meal. I'm such an amateur

any more?

congrats on your current progress, keep at it, dont quit now, you can do this! you know that saying that goes, "there's nothing I wont do for my children", well remember that your children also deserve the best version of you

dont be so quick to poo-poo 1200, depending on age, HEIGHT, gender, activity level, a lot of gals are going to lose quite nicely on 1200 cals per day and not feel famished. hopefully they have their setting set to lose 1 lbs per week, meaning their daily burn is around 1700. if however, their daily burn rate is 2200 cals…

ah, yes, those are from that dreaded 25min web infomercial one more false vote for me.
