Yeah, when I train for the olympics I do that too  Seriously this does make perfect sense to me. My goal with exercise is to lose weight and get fit and my profession (computer related) does not carry that high of a demand load. But I agree the principals are all the same. I just think that with 130 pounds of excess…

Thanks - we are doing the same regarding processed foods. I posted this under both sucralose and splenda and expected to get bombarded with "any amount is bad". Was glad for the reinforcement of what I thought - this little bit won't hurt.

fwiw - the reason want to use sugar free coffee creamer is not the calories - I am trying to stay within my nutrient targets for sugar.
-
Not diabetic - not low carb (I don't believe in that). I'm sticking with my coffee creamer! Thank you!

I use a Polar FT7 - it has a chest strap. It works great for me and my treadmill and recumbent bike also picks it up so I imagine most gym equipment will also.
-
Thanks - I will look for your blog.
-
Well, grab ahold and climb back on

Yep, I had read that one too. It all brings me back to believing I am good until I hit a plateau. Thanks to everyone!! I love this site. I have learned soooo much!
-
Thanks - this make sense. btw - You joined 12/2009 and only posted six times and chose this one? I feel honored!

ummmm I guess I suck at humor  Thats pretty wild - don't look with your mouth full
-
Thanks - actually, I had already read that article.

I compute my own calorie target also based on this formula which should yield a loss of two pounds per week assuming I need 20% of my BMR calories for normal daily activities. (BMR * 1.2) - 1000
-
Thanks - I record my calories based on my HRM with my BMR calories during the time I exercise subtracted. I am usually about a fourth of what MFP says. I will often eat some of the calories back but I don't make a focused attempt to do so. I guess as long as I continue to feel good and lose then why change? If I hit a…

Good looks just make you look good. Intelligence and emotional stability will make you happy and more attractive to those that care most about you.
-
Ummmm how did you find that out?
-
This is way cool! I honestly didn't expect to experience this benefit. It is almost euphoric for me.

When my knee was messed up, I sat on an exercise ball and did EA Active Sports on the Wii. I placed the ball on top of a resistance tubes and did upper body workouts, and most all except obviously the lower body. Still burned some calories.
-
Recumbent (not upright) stationary bike is great if you have bad knees.
-
I use a HRM for cardio workouts, but I have always heard that HRM's are not useable for measuring calories burned during strength training.
-
Do you record resistance tube workouts under both Cardio, strength training and under strength exercises? No calories burned count if recorded under strength exercises, right?
-
I have searched the app store and had not spotted those. Thank you so much!

Hey, I just came accross this web site that has very close to what I am looking for. It shows specific exercises related to specific muscle groups. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw10.htm
-
There are a lot of apps for guiding and tracking weight training to target various muscle groups, etc. - I was hoping for the same based on resistance tubes. I wonder if I can just find ways to correlate the tube exercises to weight based routines. I will check out the videos too. Thank you very much!

Anything to eat or drink?
-
Be careful about the unit measurements - I have found that coffee mate will sometimes use a teaspoon serving size and sometimes tablespoon.
-
I can't drink coffee without it - defintely Sugar Free - mostly because the sugars make me go over my nutrition targets. I found you can do a subscription for coffee mate through Amazon.com and save $ - they will send you a six pack every month.
-
It also just occurs to me - the store layout is really indicative of the whole business of prepackaged foods - companies put money into producing prepackaged foods and want to recoup their costs and make a profit. The longer the product is available for sale, the more likely they will make money. If prepackaged foods…

Do everything you can do - but do it right - but not so much that you risk confidence and momentum. Momentum is much more important.

Well my wife (JonnaGrace who posted above about our dog ) just fixed my my first egg white omelet of my life. It is yummy!

That is so awesome! Congratulations!!!
