Today's goals 8000 steps, log food (I logged yesterday for the first time in ages), a litre of water in addition to normal drinks, take up 3 new pairs of trousers.

Well, had a good day, did all my jobs and I've managed 10,194 steps far more than I expected. Tomorrow is a new day so I'll set my goals in the morning 😀

maryrobinson I don't know how to reply so you will definitely see it, but thank you for your welcome :)

Didn't quite manage all my steps yesterday but I did the 30 minute exercise dvd and drank the litre of water in addition to my normal drinks. So today, I have stripped all the bedding, I'm going to turn the mattress, move the bed and, of course, do all the associated hoovering and dusting (there will be a lot :/ ) then…

Wow, some of you have some serious commitments! For today my goals are to walk 6000 steps and do at least 30 minutes exercise DVD. This will need to be in segments, so, 1500 steps followed by 10+ mins of DVD three times, then, if I haven't done enough steps in my normal day, a short walk in the evening to make up the…

Bex953172 thanks, I forgot about tricep dips I'll add them next time. I wobble when I do most exercises, unless I'm sitting or lying down as I have a medical condition that seriously affects my balance. Just got to keep trying and do my best :)

Yay, I managed today's small goals 8340 steps done and 15 mins of bodyweight exercises - squats, lunges, plank, wall sit, hip lifts and another one I don't know the name of but it's a type of crunch that doesn't hurt my neck :/ I'll add more goals as I get into this. Thinking about tomorrow now :)

I like the idea of this thread, one day at a time :) I need to get back into exercise so - today I will do 8000 steps and 15 minutes of bodyweight exercises.

I've started here - again. I've bought a food scale because I don't know portion sizes. I have no idea what a realistic portion of potatoes, lentils etc etc looks like. So this time I'm going to try weighing everything not just doing it by eye or cups, my eyes obviously don't work and my cups are breakfast cups instead of…

I am 67 the only thing I've found different for me is that I need a longer warm up for example C25K gives a 5 minute warm up, I do at least double that and sometimes even 15 or 20 minutes depending on how I feel on the day. Same with yoga, gym and classes.

I am far from young and very overweight. I have home DVDs but never use them, exercise plans that I never follow so I took my courage in both hands and went to a gym. This was one of the scariest things I've EVER done, so I completely understand your problem. The staff were very helpful, showed me round the gym and the…

Michele in NC a 3 minute plank is awesome. I can do 15 seconds then I collapse. I do it twice with a bit of something else in between does that count as 30 seconds ;)

I'm not good at this, my comments are very stilted so I delete them  This week I've managed to do every planned exercise session I had but still not fully up to steam after some hospital treatments. My weekly plan is Gym Monday - cardio warm up then mostly strength: Tuesday at the moment is a rest day: Wednesday -…

Can I join? I'm 67, very overweight but not totally unfit. Went on my first 'diet' at 16 and have done every diet imaginable since. I decided a while ago to ignore dieting and get fitter; this was a HUGE decision as I was very unfit. I now go to the gym 2 days per week (cardio warm up for 20 mins the about 60 mins of…

I want to keep this thread to refer back to it How can I do that?
