Hi Kristy, I'm Janet. I've lost 100 lbs., still 30-40 left. If you'd like to chat, let me know!

All I can add, is that I gained 7lbs. in a day. I knew I'd been eating well and didn't know what was going on. I did get upset, but told myself that if I continued to eat right, it would go back down. I did in fact have a large sudden loss again.

I have never felt the need to weigh my food. After cooking for so many years, I can estimate a cup, 1/4 or 1/2 cup. Maybe some cannot do it this way, then, they should weigh, if it helps them. I have never found any problem with my method and feel I get pretty darn close. The only time I've ever had a problem or gained…

My mother never "nagged" she just told me that if I gained any more weight, they'd have to bury me in a piano case! Talk about messing with someone's head. That remark still haunts me to this day. She's been gone for over 15yrs.

I totally agree with this post. This should be a place of support. If you can't be supportive or disagree, it's not necessary to add a negative post.

It is a lot, but, not impossible. I lost almost 30lbs. in a month before joining MFP. Now, I've lost 40 something. Around 43 in 5 weeks.

I don't have an answer for you, but, since you already think they may have too many cals, I'd avoid. I love sunflower seeds, but gave them up when I found out how much fat is in them. I was very shocked by that.

Hell, even when I was in a relationship, we never celebrated anything. Forget about even a card! Not a romantic bone in his body! Now, I'm not totally sure of my relationship status this year. I'm just making him home made peanut butter cookies & a card. However, I will be alone as we live in different states.

I was thrilled to read all the comments here. Thank you! Someone brought up a good point= dizziness... I have actually felt dizzy a time or 2 lately. Didn't realize what it was from, duh... thank you to those that said that. I guess I'm not getting enough cals. & need to take in more or a few higher cal. items.

I weigh and record everything, like normal. We have to remember why the scale isn't friendly to us at this time. If you stay true to your eating plan, That water weight & bloat will go away. The scale will show the results in the end. We can't let ourselves get discouraged during this time. It all works out in the end.…

What a story! You should be very proud. First, you had obstacles to overcome and you still got the weight off. You look great!

I have felt exactly the same way. I have always had low self esteem. Pretty much because of my weight and feeling rejected by others. I was not thin enough (even when I was), I was not pretty enough... Unfortunately, it took me till I was over 40, to realize 1 simple thing. I have been living all these years worrying if I…

Yes, soda is high in sodium (someone posted that). I also read somewhere that the artificial sweetners can actually increase your appetite. If you need to drink it, it would be best to limit the amount. Congrats to you for being able to overcome that habit. I hear it's so hard for some.

I will be 47 in March. I think I have you all beat in the age thing (lucky me!). No problem, if ya need a friend. Let me know. Good luck on your journey.

Just 1 little note- They say you shouldn't actually wash mushrooms. They are a bit like a sponge. Just take a damp paper towel and wipe them off.

I think some cheating husbands say & do things so they can convince themselves that their cheating is justified. They try to make you out to be the horrible wife. Then, of course he'd have to stray. I bought into what my husband told me at first. That I was too fat & ugly. It was my fault he strayed. Then, after she kicked…
