My Name is Nicci and i am 32 years old and this is my story:
It started just over a year ago actually: December 2011. I would like to say as I am sure others have said this as well: I HONESTLY did not realize how big i had had actually gotten. i don't remember ever being skinny skinny, but When i finally realized how big i really was it was a huge wake up call. I am 5'2" on New years day 2011 my weigh in weight was 187 lbs. this was After looking at pics from a wedding the year before to which i had to wear a size 18 dress. I was ashamed of myself. I cried and then i said it was time to make a huge change. i was tired of being..well. tired. i was tired of being in pain . I hate placing blame on why i gained so much weight, it was a lot of things: in April 2010 i was in a REALLY bad car accident i sprained my neck, hips and back, severely and it took me months to re cooperate, (this depressed me greatly) , My job stressed me out so i ate, a lot of my meals were at 11 pm at night because i was working closing shifts, i was always tired so i drank way too much soda. and i just didn't take care of myself. i had taken up climbing and got frustrated and quit.
My New Year's resolution for 2012 was I would lose all the weight i had gained...luckily though skeptical at first , My bf at the time was super supportive. My best friend told Me about My fitness pal and how she had already lost 10 pounds . My fitness pal became, well and addiction, but a good one. i had a few friends who encouraged me a long the way. it helped me keep track of what I was eating. I think my coworkers at first though i was crazy looking at packages when I bought lunch or snacks, pulling out my phone and looking to see if i could fit it into my calorie allowance. But i was determined. i will admit my weight loss was gradual but I hear that's the best way to go. I started counting my calories tracking my exercise...etc
Today is January 31st ,2013..I have lost 35 pounds and iam so proud and honestly, i know without a doubt my fitness pal played a huge role (umm even if i did slack on my logs the past couple months i did keep the 1300 calorie rule)
the second pic is a little dark, but i wanna share the comparison to show, with encouragement and a little discipline you really can lose the weight!
