Order the petite sirloin with no seasoning or added salt, a plain baked or sweet potato and veggies. Stay away from the rolls, butter, and appetizers and you should be good to go. Drink lots of water though because the veggies can be salty especially the green beans. Enjoy!!

Hi, I am a 30 year old female. I used to weigh 258 dropped down to 159 now. I was at 142 at my lowest weight. I am trying to get down to 155 but maintain or gain muscle. I know I have gained some muscle because I am doing more strength training. What is the best way to lose yet gain/tone muscles? I currently do cardio at…

Don't start out at 1200 calories...eat more so that you can lower as you go. When you start out on a VLCD there aren't many options to lose the last few pounds.
-
Just to add my input...I am 5'4" and in may 2009, I weighed 258 pounds and decided to take control of my life. I began losing on a very low calorie diet (900-1200 per day) and walking a lot (my job was in security so I was on my feet all day). In December 2010, I weighed 142 but felt so tired, depressed, and anxious.…

At my heaviest at age 22 I was 272. When I made my lifestyle change I weighed 258. I've lost 93 pounds since 258 and it will be 3 years in May since I made that decision. Never going back there!!

Thanks. I find having the treadmill makes me use it and does not allow me to use the weather as an excuse. Good Luck to you too!!

I too am stuck with the last 15 and want to join in if I am welcome that is. I have currently lost 105 pounds and weigh 155 pounds. I have been around this weight plus or minus since about April or so. My goal is 140, which is on the high end of normal for my 5'4" frame. I currently workout 6 days a week, 3 40-60 minute…

yes, just go into the check in tab and there is a choice to edit previous entries.

Rather than cutting carbs that drastically, you might want to think about just eating cleaner carbs like lots of veggies and fruits and whole grains like oatmeal. Just avoid the processed carbs and processed sugary foods. Good Luck!!
-
Good point....maybe I will just try to continue to build muscle and get leaner. Thanks.

It's when someone loses enough weight that they now weigh less that 200 pounds.
-
Yes, they still sell it but only this time of year. Once Halloween passes, it gets taken off the shelves till next year. Don't know where you live, but ACME and Shoprite has it.

Ok, This may sound strange, but I love Frankenberry. It's 130 calories for a full cup and only has 10 grams of sugar. That may seem like a lot but its actually quite low in regards to other sugary cereals. I also like the fiber one honey squares...they are really tasty with only 80 calories for 3/4 cup and only has three…

My intention was not to scare anyone, but its generally common knowledge that eating 1200 calories or below for an extended period of time is not good for the body. Nothing terrible will happen if calories are upped slightly, but staying below 1200 I'm not so sure. As always, everyone should speak with their physicians…
-
Yup...it's starvation mode. Up your calories slowly...100 to 200 per day until you are around maitenance. Then eat maitenance calories for almost a month to restart your metabolism. If you don't your hair might begin to fall out, depression may set in and you may even stop getting your periods. Always eat at least 1200 or…

OK Carb count is 6 from the plain yougrt...no carbs in the cocoa or splenda.
-
Yeah...you might need to adjust the cocoa or sweetener to your tastes..but it's yummy!! Plain greek yogurt is tough to eat plain and I too have been adding almonds or fiber one cereal with cinnamon and thought to try this today. So glad I did.

You are right...most people don't belive you can do it through diet and exercise. I have had people insist I had the gastric bypass. When they say that to me, I say let's go for a run and my fitness level will tell the truth, and then I show them my muscles. LOL. Congrats and keep up the good work! It's teh hardest thing…

I am 5'4" and currently at 146...my goal is 140. I have been at this for two years and have lost 112 pounds. I would like to reach 135 but I am currently exercising 5 days a week and am very active much of my time. I have plateaued twice and am thinking it might be time to increase my calories to lose the last 5 or 10…

yeah, definately need to eat more... I had this problem and then upped my calories as per drs. advice, hair grew back quickly.
-
Had chest pains one night...scared me straight. Now 112 pounds lighter, I will NEVER go back to that.
-
I agree...cut down on some of the sugar and processed carbs...help me bust through a plateau and lose belly fat. Good Luck!!
-
Same as everyone else...I lost 110 without ever hitting the gym. I've done cycling, walking, and strength training as well as the 30 day shred. It's absolutely possible without joining a gym. Good Luck!!
