  • This is actually me. If I deviate even slightly from my eating plan then I completely lose control and it takes me ages to get it back. On Wednesday I was given a Hummingbirds cupcake http://hummingbirdbakery.com/order/cupcakes/classic-cupcakes/red-velvet-cupcakes/ and it was delicious, I couldnt resist it but then that…

  • There is a weight loss community website called '3 fat chicks' and they have a forum called 'chicks in control' where the focus is on binge eating and recovery. I found it quite an insightful resource. It may help to hear from people in a similar position http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/chicks-control-64/ Have a nose about…
  • I have just taken my readings and am surprised at the difference. No idea which one to believe (will likely ignore both) Military - 34.1% fat Covert Bailey 24% fat I know which one I would rather believe but I also know which one is more likely to be right!
  • I was wondering how much of an improvement I am going to get between #2 and #3 so it is encouraging to see some big changes in you guys. I have another week to go. I agree with your comment about doing the fit test and Max one after the other!!
  • People I know have taken to doing insanity every other day and then running in between on their off days. They seem pretty happy with that and I thought it sounded achievable. Nerd Fitness has got some really good strength training resources - definitely worth a look. There is a dumbbell workout that I had some good…
  • I have been doing Insanity in the mornings before work - usually within 10 minutes of waking at 5.30am in an attempt to fit it in to the day. When I started I knew that the getting up early was going to be my biggest struggle but I kept telling myself it was just for 60 days so suck it up and go to bed earlier. I have…
  • Wow, posted this before I left for work this morning. Just got home and cannot believe the amount of responses. Thank you all so much. i will take a look through them all. There are some yummy sounding ones. Keep it coming. I have a great link to post too. Will try and find it and post it
  • I am in the same position so am gonna lurke and see what advice you get. I eat fish but not meat. I am aiming for 100g of protein a day but dont even get half way. I have added more Quorn to my diet and have ordered some almonds in my Tesco shop
  • Fellow UKer. You're welcome to add me. Well done on taking the first step, you can do it

  • I use a HRM and average about 350. Apparently its roughly 10 calories a minute but obvs there are so many variables to consider you cant really compare.
  • Thank you for finding this. It makes me feel better. I had a 4lb gain then a 3lb loss now have had a 1lb gain so the scales are all over the place. I am ignoring them and am having faith in the program.
  • Well tomorrow is my rest day and I cant wait. I have found the workouts tough this week and my body is shattered. I think the rest day tomorrow is well earned :-)
  • I re-took week 1 as I didnt feel I gave it 100% and ate stuff I shouldnt have done. So I am now on W2D2. I am interested to see what my stats will reveal next Monday though. Well done girls on your progress so far. Its early days, we are only about 25% of the way through so plenty of time to dig deeper and reap the rewards…
  • Thank you all for your input. I have done some more research and am feeling much better about it now. Am much clearer about what cals I should be eating and when. Have cut down the milk in my tea and have a focussed mind. Am going to continue IF over the weekends and make sure I keep myself busy until 1pm Check out…
  • Bit late replying but for what its worth, personally I would dig deeper and get it done. Peace out y'all :-)
  • Thank you for replying so quickly. I was concerned about the milk in the team. I reckon its about 100 calories worth. Is this okay? I am doing the 18/6 split
  • Really useful tool, thank for posting it
  • I found that my running has improved. I ran 5km in 24mins yesterday - my fastest time ever!!!! Dont worry, this workout is great for your cardiovascular system and any increased strength will power you round that 8km
  • I am on week 2 and the scales have gone up for me too. i am not going to get discouraged (yet). I know I am doing the right thing. Am gonna continue til the end of Insanity and try not to worry about what the scales say before then (easier said than done) Not gonna lie - dropping a few pounds would be a great motivator…
  • I did my first training day today - plyo cardio. I had sweat dripping off my face. Proper hard! Made a lot easier by watching ST take his top off half way through. Is it bad that it made me feel better to see the people behind him take a break? I am soooo tired right now though. Hoping my body can adjust to the early start…
  • Just done fitness test - damn it I am unfit. Am totally scared about the work-out tomorrow now if that was just the fit test! • My Insanity package has finally arrived. Officially start tomorrow - woop. Have had a bad food day today so it couldnt come at a better time to keep me on track. Am intrigued what my fit test results will be. Hope you are all getting on okay x
  • Hi all, I am waiting for my package to arrive. I am keen to get started. Will make sure I take my before pics and measurements before I start. Am looking forward to the challenge. Think the getting up early bit is going to be the biggest challenge until I adjust to seeing 5.45am! Am hoping it will arrive tomorrow so I can…
  • I ordered it on Friday night so am waiting for it to arrive. I ordered next day delivery so am hopeful it will arrive on Monday so I can start Tuesday morning. Am nervous about how tough it is. Want to give it my all as I want to results to show for it. Am hoping it will give my fitness a boost as I am booked in for a 20…
  • The theory is that you don't notice it on yourself cause you look at yourself every day. For other people to notice it takes around a stone and a half (21lbs). Supposedly it is 10lbs to drop a dress size but I think this is difficult because dress sizes vary so much and if you are judging it on clothes you already own then…
  • I have been following the NERD fitness strength training program. While I found the site quite difficult to navigate and interact with i did manage to find my way to the Strength guide, paid my money and they sent me through the stuff. I follow the Dumbbell workout cause that's what I have access to. It has been very…
