  • Thanks. I have 1.1kg ones which are around 2.5lbs. And they're the smallest I can find. Plus I have a dodgy shoulder from an old injury that never healed. So all I can do is my best!!
  • My first goal is to get to a healthy BMI. At the moment I'm 25.3 or something. My aim is a BMI of 22, which is the most healthy. I know it says from 20-25 is healthy but 22 is optimal. After that my goal is just to tone up a lot. I won't be watching the scales as closely, I'll be taking measurements. I want to be a uk size…
  • I think anyone who would be so unsupportive to their partner losing weight and getting healthy must be terrified their partner will leave them when they are thinner. Absolutley ridiculous, but why else would they not be happy for you? My best friend is in the same position as you OP. She has around 60lbs to lose, has lost…
  • Hey, How many cals are you on daily? I figured out that WW propoints are only about 40 cals. Are you sure you got more with WW? Are you really hungry is that what's getting you down? If it is, you need to reset your weekly weight loss goal. If you have your goal set to a .5-1lbs loss a week you will have more calories each…
  • I finally ordered ripped in 30 from amazon yesterday. And should be getting 30 day shred from my friend before the weekend. So this day next week I will be totally ready for our 2 month challenge :drinker: Anyone know how heavy the weights in 30 day shred are? I already have a set of small weights and not sure whether to…
  • Anyone else from Ireland? I can't find it anywhere except online and I got rid of my credit cards so can't get it online. My friend is burning me a copy of 30DS but I'd like to buy some others too. So if anyone in Ireland sees them anywhere please let me know :)
  • My body's favourite weight is 140lbs or 10 stone. It takes EFFORT to get below. But once I'm there it takes a pregnancy to get me above it, so I suppose that's a good thing too. MY ideal weight on the other hand is 126lbs, or 9 stone. Any thinnner and I lose my boobs. I'm 5'4. I'm currenty 150lbs, so I'm guessing the next…
  • There is no doubt that Atkins and South Beach work. But they're NOT for me. I prefer to just count my calories and do my exercise. Losing weight is just basic maths. Eat less than you burn, and your body will burn fat stores instead. Easy. This way is a lot easier to stick with. My mother did Atkins for a long time, and it…
  • I only do 40 mins of cardio a day, and this is my 22nd consecutive day (started on 1st of Jan). It's not that I'd feel guiltly if I had a rest day, it's that working out puts me in good mood and makes me feel more energetic. If I end up having a day where I can't work out (such as if I have a christening, wedding etc...)…
  • My boyfriend has no interest. He says he's proud of me for sticking to this, but he definitely would not count calories. He's the type of person who eats nothing all day and then pigs out at night. He has got a bit of a belly, but I'd say that's from his love of beer more than anything else. And I know he'll never give…
  • I don't eat cheat meals. I know if I start I'll never stop. And I'd feel sluggish and bloated. I don't eat the healthiest diet in the world right now, I just watch my calories. So I don't feel I'm depriving myself anything. And my rewards will be non-food related things. New clothes, a night out (sticking to low cal…
  • The wii board annoys me. It's all "you haven't seen me in 7 days". Maybe because you're BORING and wii Zumba is way more fun! These days I only use my wii fit to weigh in once or twice a week. Most expensive scales ever.

  • I just bought some herbal diet pills today for the first time. I bought them from a large supermarket chain and they're 'own brand' ones. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that may or may not work. If you're in the UK, I got them in Tesco. I'm not holding out much hope for them after reading up online. They…
  • I'm a total carb addict and I do worry that it's so unhealthy. My favourite is potatoes but love pasta, rice, bread too. I could (and have) eat nothing BUT carbs. I try to eat eggs and chicken as much as possible but I really don't like meat. The problem with carbs for me is, eating a lot of them can make you carry weight…
  • I'm Laura. I'm 26, mother of two boys, and I'm Irish. I was always thin, until I had my second child. While I was pregnant I ate enough to feed a small army, and now that my youngest son is 2, I'm still around 2 stone (20-30lbs) overweight. I don't want to be overweight when I'm 26! I want to be fit and healthy. I'm…
  • I want my body to be stronger. And I want to tone up everywhere. I want to push myself because I've heard how hard 30DS is, and I think doing it as a group we'll be able to spur each other on.
  • I said I'd do it too I mailed mickipedia.....maybe she hasn't been online lately. I'm sure she'll let us know when she is.
  • Wtf? I'm 26.5. Should I be worried that I'm not yet married? I've got two kids though.....so maybe I'm just doing it backwards!
  • My brother is a teenage boy (well, he's 19 next week) and if I ate like him I'd be sooo skinny. He drinks 2l of milk a day and eats very little. But when he does eat, he EATS! He's still very very thin though. No spare flesh on him, just some muscle. I'd love to be one of those people who 'forget' to eat.
  • Oh and I also have an ex who told me that if my best friend lost a good 100lbs she'd be his ideal woman. First of all....never say this to a girl about her best friend! And second of all...my best friend is beautiful no matter what she weighs!!
  • This is going to be long so please bear with me  I had a boyfriend who was a bit controlling when I was 17. He had this friend from South Africa (we live in Ireland). He told me that his friend said I was "the ugliest girl he'd ever seen". Number one, why would this guy say this to his friend (my boyfriend) about his…
  • ^^^ this, I don't have ripped in 30 either but am dying to start 30 day shred.
  • Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! From Dublin, lived in midlands for past 10 years now. Love to have more Irish friends ;)
  • I think you might be my twin
  • I wear make up every single day unless I'm sick. It's like brushing my teeth. I feel grubby unless I put it on. I wear foundation, powder, blusher, eye liner and mascara every day. Lips just get a smudge of tinted lip balm for day time. My skin is so white it's blue (Irish) so I need the foundation. And I just like how I…
  • I wish I'd known that the first couple of weeks are EASY. Then the novelty starts to wear off, and you really need to push yourself. I also wish I'd known that your stomach actually shrinks and you wonder how you ever ate all the food you used to eat (or is that just me?).
  • I've got a very long list of foods I don't like and I won't be able to think of them all but will list as many as I can: Tomatoes, turnip (swede), peppers, parsnips, all fruit (except apples and bananas), red meat (especially lamb, I would die before I'd eat lamb), pork, sweet potato, butternut squash, garden peas,…
  • Has anyone seen mickipedia on line lately?
  • I'm in the same boat. I've lost 4.5lbs since Jan 1st. Last January I did MFP and lost 12lbs in 3 weeks. Then I gave up (why?!!) and kept those 12lbs off until this year. So this time I'm sticking at it till I get to my goal, no matter how long that takes. What would be the point of giving up? I'd only be back here again…
