  • I'm also doing c25k and I have exactly the same feeling behind my right knee as you described. I think I need to rest it for a couple of days, which is hard to do when I really want to keep going :( I also think it might be time to get fitted for new runners (trainers/tennis shoes depending on where you live).
  • I agree with all the above replies saying you should start logging what you eat on a normal day. Once you have that done, pick a day you are going to start reducing your calories and STICK to it. Don't say "oh I'll start Monday/the first of the month". Just start asap. Also, I saw someone recommended couch 2 5k above, I…
  • I'm getting married on 17th April 2014 and I am back on mfp to lose the baby weight for the THIRD time. Youngest baby is 6 months old so why the hell I left it so long I do not know. I have roughly 40lbs to lose, asap. I've done it before (just before I got pregnant on youngest) with mfp and just need the motivation to do…
  • I lost very little weight during and after 30DS but I did lose at least an inch off of thighs, arms, waist and chest. I moved onto Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones by Jillian afterwards. BFBM is all cardio, 7 x 6 minute circuits, NMTZ is all strength, again 7x6.
  • People cheat because they crave attention from other people. It's nothing to do with the person who is cheated on, and all to do with the person who cheats.
  • I think it's really really rude to ask for money. I always give money as a wedding present (around €200) but seeing something like that would make me go and buy them a present just because they pissed me off. I'd think twice about even GOING to the wedding. Where I live (Ireland), no one 'registers' or has 'showers'. Most…
  • Yes super strength patch and inhalor.
  • Last reason (I keep remembering more after I've posted). The goal weights they give in WW are too high imo. I'm now 7lbs under what my goal weight in ww was, and I still want to lose anotehr 12lbs. 19lbs is a huge difference. My goal on here is 125lbs, which is not too low for my height of 5'4". Their goal was 144lbs. Way…
  • Just remembered another reason I prefer mfp to ww.....I don't have to go to meetings once a week. I hated those meetings. So boring, just another way of advertising their products.
  • WW works on exactly the same principle as mfp. The reasons I prefere mfp are: I was buying a lot of ww branded food when doing ww as working out points can be time consuming but if you buy branded products it's there on the label. Mfp is free. I lose more weight with mfp. There's not enough emphasis on exercise with ww.…
  • Great advice, the best I've ever seen given here on mfp. I agree with all 7 of your tips. Well done on your amazing loss :drinker:
  • The girl with the dyed red hair and big eyes that has two kids (I had my kids very young).
  • No, I have never ever conciously looked in someone else's trolley. Not interested. I used to work on a checkout though....you can't help but notice then. Never saw any hugely overweight person buying lots of junk food. Then again, I live in Ireland....most people bought a LOT of potatoes.
  • I didn't set myself a time limit, and I'm already pretty happy with my weight now, I look better than I did! But I have 31lbs gone and 12lbs to go. It could take 6 months to lose that 12lbs, it could even take a year. But I'll keep on going.
  • I've got 12lbs to go and it's SO HARD. Can only imagine how hard it will be on my last 5lbs. Maybe people only found this site after losing 134lbs and have 5 to go? Or maybe they didn't. Who CARES?
  • Another ex-smoker here, I just gave up 10 days ago. I can't imagine that there'll ever be a day that goes by that I don't crave a smoke. I love them so so much. But I won't. It's damn hard. It's hard for me to even write this because I'm craving cigarettes so badly, even wearing a nicotine patch  . I also will always…
  • 140lbs is 10 stone. I never ever want to be 10 stone again (unless I'm pregnant, I do plan to have more kids). I'm now 138lbs, or 9 stone 12lbs.....goal is 9 stone even.
  • Oh and with the day that's in it.....VOTE NO FOR DEMOCRACY!! pmsl
  • Granola, linseed and fruit, every morning for breakfast. I look forward to it every day.
  • My eldest who's 7 is not on his summer holidays until 29th of June. I have a 2 year old at home all the time. The plan is to sign the 7 year old up for two seperate week long summer camps to break up the 8 weeks off school. Other than that....I don't know. I have the opposite problem though, my 2 year old loves to have his…
  • My fiancé, my parents, my best friend.....these people can say they are proud of me. I would say I was proud of them if they accomplished something. I am also very proud of my children when they learn to do anything new. I don't understand why this statement would annoy anyone....unless it was someone you're not close to?…
  • Oh and when bouncers are asking for id to get into a nightclub they don't bother asking me anymore!
  • I have a 7 year old son who told me the other day "you're too wrinkly". I am 26 years old, I do not have wrinkles. It's almost 10 years since I finished secondary school (high school equivelant). My little brother who is 8 years younger than me now goes to the pub with his friends. All of my school friends are married.
  • I wouldn't like critisism of my diary. There are not many people out there who don't already know that wholegrain is better than white, and that veggies are better than processed food....so why bother? I do my best every day with my food choices and while my diary is not perfect it's the best I can do without feeling too…
  • The list of food I like is probably shorter than the list of what I don't like. Things everyone seems to love that I hate.....hmmm.... Tomatoes All meat (I only eat chicken) Peanut butter (love peanuts though) Seafood Chocolate flavour anything like ice-cream, cake etc.... There are just so many things. I love ketchup…
  • I'm 5'4 and currently weigh 138lbs, I started at 168lbs. I'm a UK size 10-12 now, (US size 6-8) and just getting down to a 10 will suit me fine. Not aiming for a size 6 (which would be a US size 2....no thank you!). I have around 12lbs left to goal but if I lose another 5lbs and decide I'm happy I'll stop there and start…
  • How many calories is your daily allowance set to? If you need more you can always do some exercise to get an extra few hundred. I tend to log BEFORE I eat so I can see how much a meal is going to work out at.
  • I sat on my son's swing and the chains dug into my thighs on either side. I sat on it again recently though and the chains don't dig in anymore. :drinker:
  • I love it! We're a season or two behind here in Ireland so Jillian is still on the season I'm watching and I probably won't watch anymore when she's gone. Love her. Of course it's not a realistic amount of weight to lose in the time-frame. I don't think it's supposed to be! It's supposed to be extreme, and that's why the…
