  • I've sliipped a disc in my lower back thanks to all the plank work in level 2 so I'm done with the 30 day shred for a while. Can barely walk let alone exercise. I'm really, really annoyed. Could feel my back getting worse every day as I did the walking push ups and plank jacks and stuff but just ignored it. I'm in agony…
  • Anything by Jodi Picoult. Well, almost anything. Songs of the humpback whale is her first book and it's not great. My favourites of hers are: 19 minutes, Salem falls, House rules, Sing you home and Plain truth. I loved The Midwife's confession by Diane Chamberlain too! Currently reading Flowers in the Attic because…
  • So today is day 8 of level 2....and I am very proud of how far we've all come. I haven't been online in a few days but I've still been shredding. I'm not getting as bored of level 2 as I did with level 1. I don't even need to mute Jillian this time. Not looking forward to Tueday when I have to start level 3 :noway:
  • Thanks ladies. It's a combination of doing circuit training and my new contraceptive I think. Going to try change back to my old one. Day 4 level 2done anyway :) and it's getting easier.
  • My weight is going up again since starting level 2. There is nothing more soul-destroying than counting calories for 45 days in a row now, exercising every single day and my weight is going up. Why am I bothering?
  • She bugs the life out of me so I know I couldn't do one of her DVDs. You should've bought another Jillian instead Maggie. I even hate her on the biggest loser (oooh, that's on tonight!). Davina that is, on the UK one.
  • Thank you for every post here, I'll be using a lot of the advice. Lol, I'm addicted to carbs. And I kind of thought I could eat carbs so long as it came in under my net cals? Maybe my morning cereal should be replaced by a boiled egg and some fruit. Thanks again people xx
  • I eat some. Just to give me some space if I need them. My net is 1200 and I burn between 200-500 a day. I also think exercise cals are overestimated and food cals underestimated so I don't eat them all, ever. I was losing 2-3lbs a week until I started 30DS and now I seem to have hit a plateau so not sure what to change to…
  • Thanks for your reply. I was on the combined pill and he switched me to the mini pill as I have a blood clot in one ovary. I told him I was trying to lose weight and he still put me on the mini pill. I'll give it another couple of weeks and if I still have no loss I'll be back to the doctor.
  • LOL!! You sound like me!
  • I find the oblique twists really really hard. Like, not hard to do...but they leave me for dead. I found the cardio the worst in level 1 too though. I'm feeling so proud of myself for sticking it out for 12 days now, which is silly really lol. Ab work is my fave in both levels, probably because I get to lie on my back…
  • I love my sketchers shape ups. They're for walking and running and they really do tone your bum. They're usually €70+ but I got them for €38 in Lifestyle in January in their sale. They might still have them on sale, especially if you have a large or small foot. I'm a size 5, and they're always sold out first. Reebok…
  • Could you rest on your forearms instead of wrists? Your abs and legs would still be getting the same workout? I have really weak wrists too.
  • Aw, sorry you feel disappointed....maybe you'll have a great result on day 21 if you don't measure again until then? It all evens out in the end, our bodies are just all different.:flowerforyou: I've only lost 1.5lbs since I started 11 days ago, that's low for me....I usually lose double that in 10 days. But I feel…
  • That's so typical of Tom. Damn him.
  • :flowerforyou: And yeah, go with day 11 if you were well able for level 1. Level 2 is soooo hard omfg!! But I enjoyed it more, felt like I was pushing myself harder. Did think I was going to die while doing the cardio of circuit 2 though.
  • Level one.....DONE!! :drinker: And so level 2 begins tomorrow......
  • On day 5 (which was this day last week for me) I had gained 2lbs. By Monday (which was day 6, I didn't do it at the weekend) I had lost 3.5lbs. It's water retention. Ignore it, you will lose it without trying. It is annoying though. And no, I haven't changed my diet. I stay within my calories.
  • I have my bum in the air a bit doing push ups because I just can't do them otherwise, even with my knees bent. I find circuit one the hardest, back to back jumping jacks and jump rope really takes it out of me. Prefer circuit 2 & 3. Last day of level 1 today woop woop!!
  • Day 9 *tick* Thankfully tomorrow is the last day of level 1, I'm so bored. Downloaded workout mix 2012 to listen to today while doing it and was far nicer :)

  • A woman on my friends list is looking for other shredders to be her friend, she's new here. I've added her to this group but she'd love some of you to add her as a friend. She's MargoPuccini on my friends list. Thanks. Day 9 later....ugh!
  • I muted Jillian today and I enjoyed it so much more! I just can't listen to her. Day 8 *tick*
  • Day 7 done and I am looking forward to starting level 2 now because I am BORED!! lol
  • Thanks :flowerforyou: I did L1D6 today (after taking some good painkillers to kill my fever!) and my advice to you all would be DO NOT MISS A DAY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!! I felt like it was my first time all over again after just two days off. But, I managed it....and at least now I'm on the same day as the rest of you. I also…
  • Oh, forgot to say I weigh in on a Monday.
  • Thanks, you answered my question. I eat almost everything I used to eat, but in moderation....so I never have this problem. I eat more fruit, more veggies.....but I haven't cut out carbs or anything. I want something I can stick to forever, not a fad. I see people on my home-page (friends) way under their calorie goal and…
  • See I don't 'get' this. Before I say it I just want to the OP, I am not being smart, not being *****y...just curious. We're all on here because we want to lose weight right? (unless maintaining) And that means at one stage or another we all ate TOO MANY calories? So how come when MFP gives you a calorie goal some people…
  • I'll do it....my weight loss is very sporadic though, varies from half a pound to 3.5 lbs a week. Strange. CW 145.5lbs Target for 10 weeks time is 131.5.
