THIS THIS THIS!!! The days, months, years will ROLL by fat or not - I was 48 years old when I figured this out! You will still be here a year from now trying to BE this perfect person when you really just need to TRY TO BE an imperfect but FIT person! Start every day new...plan your food...take stock of your day every…

I don't hate potatoes - I just choose to eat them closer to the way they come out of the ground instead of altered into little bits of themselves.

You are so RIGHT! I lost all my weight too quickly and oh my it was SO ugly! I wish I had "during" photos to show how HORRIBLE the skin/fat on my thighs and arms looked...it was so bad I actually considered gaining the weight back - not kidding!! I started working out with a trainer a few days a week (a benefit at work -…

Being "done" is one of the greatest motivators in my opinion - I hauled around my pregnancy weight for over 17 years. Congrats on being done sooner than I was! :) Time to stop hating yourself and set some realistic goals. You got this...

I was bashed to H!@# for saying that i stay away from too much sodium and man made chemicals in food. The thought was that even heating food casues a chemical reaction...REALLY??? that the same as eating PHOSPORIC ACID??

interesting things here...i smell amonia some days - others not so much. It isn't nearly as strong as the OP, but i will start taking a note of what my pre-workout snack consists of and see if high carb days are better...

So far in this year long journy, I seem to always have one pair of pants that are a little too tight. When I am feeling really big and crappy (just this morning, actually) I put them on and ususally they are a little closer to being comfortalble. Today I got to wear my "snug pants" tod work becasue they FIT, but I have…

she said she was going to eat what her doctor recomended, but continue to exercise. I don't see anything wrong with excercise during pregnancy...are you saying that she can't lift a dumbell or ride a bike or take a walk on a treadmill for 9 months??

YAY! I actually had ice cream on a weeknight...that was amazing.

I googled...it has added whey protein, so it thinks that it helps with hunger - LOL...but it also has a lot of other "stuff" too...see below... WHOLE GRAIN ROLLED OATS, WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE, MALTODEXTRIN, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, SALT, OAT FLOUR, CALCIUM CARBONATE, GUAR GUM, CARAMEL COLOR, SOY LECITHIN, ACESULFAME…

Alcohol isn't as much of a problem as is the binging that unleashes when i have more than 2 drinks! I have a quick add called "pary binge" and just start all over in the morning.

the fitness frog is a great website...i go there every 10 pounds or so and get a "tune up".

If what you mean by snacking is standing in front of the refrgerator (or freezer if it is an ice cream moment) with a spoon eating something that you don't really have the calorie allowance for, then YES, I wish you the best of luck - and yes I try to join you!!!

This is what I was thinking the entire time I was reading the answers! LOL... Sweetie, you have posted this cry for help on a website built to COUNT CALORIES...if you don't eat you don't have anything to count, so we MFP'ers have not a freaking CLUE what you are talking about! Eat the damn food...eat less of it than you…

That is a good one, I have had it before. My daughter - a picky 17 year old - likes Proventive Harmonized Vanilla. It seems to be less "active", meaning no real muscle building ingredients so it doesn't upset her stomach. Also, it mixes rather well with one of the shakers with the metal mixer ball..

It does for me. It's about energy and feeling good...but it is so personal! I cook, I am good at it and I love it. If you don't at least want to learn to cook, then choosing this type of lifestyle may get a little boring and predictable. There are certainly enough web sites out there with AWESOME recipes - give it a shot…

nothing wrong with a good quality protein shake...from what you are eating it doesn't look like a lot of protein in the morning and protein will usually keep me feeling a little fuller longer than carbs.

what everyone else said...I weigh on Friday's so I am very careful about sodium on Wed. and Thurs. other than that, I don't worry about it too much because I don't have high blood pressure or other health concerns. I DO retain water better than most...

Yup...nutrition should be in the schools just like sex ed. So should financial planning and the working of simple interest loans - oh and taxes too! LOL While I agree with a previous poster that parents should be teaching nutrition, I see too many kids who's parents don't even know where they are let alone what they are…

sleeping! can you imagine waking up with a 500 calorie deficit??

this is good...almost like re-training your brain.

Not a whole DAY!! We are very social and have packed weekends...I choose one MEAL to have a few drinks or wine and eat whatever my friends serve. Sometimes I still eat pretty low cal, especially when we hang with other folks from the gym, but sometimes it's burgers on the grill and potato salad! I still stay gluten free…

I checked out your diary and while you do stay pretty close to your calorie goal (good job!) you eat an awful lot of sodium - some days over 5,000! If you weighed the morning after a sodium binge then you would most likely be showing some sort of water retention...you are not logging your water intake so it is difficult to…

Dad always said it was the "sprouted" eye thingy that you shouldn't eat raw...if the taters are relatively fresh and haven't started growing their greens it should be ok. He's a master gardener, not a nutritionist though, so take that with a grain of salt! LOL

not much can beat burned cheese if you ask me!

this is nice...while reading your end notes i thought up Roasted red pepper & jalepeno with tomato, cilantro, lime, onion, cumin garlic...With the coconut milk? YUMMY - creamy salsa!
