I don't always eat "breakfast" food for breakfast - sometimes act up and eat dinner leftovers! Another idea is breakfast egg muffins...look this one up - http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/scrambled-egg-muffins. Remember you can omit 1/2 of the yolks and switch pork for turkey sausage to cut the calories. Also, its a great…

Television - I work out 6 nights a week...

I really agree with this...I am an "edge of the grocery store" shopper - fruit, meat, veg, etc.. so when I DO eat Doritos or ice cream or potoato chips or fries (usually once or twice a week) it is quite a happy moment! ETA: now i need fries...see ya in the drive thru! LOL

I'm a data pig too! I love my numbers...LOL

I call No Fair!! Doug Graham is a vegan - and a LOW FAT vegan at that...totally different than Paleo or Clean which is based on meats (a lot of them), fish, eggs, veggies, fruit, nuts, etc...totally different diet...

This...I couldn't find one either...omitting Splenda was a much bigger issue for me so I went with Total Athlete from Vitamine Shoppe...it seemed to have fewer ingredients than most.

Both...I cook with coconut oil, but I don't like it in salad dressings...I will use olive oil in dressings and homemeade mayo as coco tends to "harden" in a very icky way on lettuce! LOL...

The thing to remember is that it WONT kill you to go gluten free for a few weeks...you do not need "wheat" to live...you do need carbs of a sort, but they can come from fruits and veggies and other non gluten starches. I actually have a diagnosed allergy to 7 different grains so I don't eat "replacement" foods...most of…

Understood...and I am in no way a "raw food" fanatic. I have just found the key to my success is to only eat like a crazy person two days a week! LOL...it boils down to the fact that I don't have an OFF button once I get started in a day...

I agree, but there is a big difference between 68 and 90! I would WAY rather live past 68 and meet my grandkids when I get them! We all need to make decisions for ourselves...if your family history includes certain illnesses then I don't see what can it hurt to live a lifestyle that will combat your particular make up.…

So did mine, and she died at 68 after a heart attack and a stroke...everything doesn't work for everyone.

I eat a very strict clean diet Monday thru Friday (clean being full Paleo & calorie counting) then eat whatever I want on Saturday and Sunday. I do have a gluten allergy, so that lets out a ton of food even on the weekends...I am ALWAYS gluten free. I rarely have a reason to go out on weeknights to parties or other types…

this is what i was thinking...lack of caffiene is a killer for me. I drink 2 or 3 cups of tea (no suger no cream) per day since i stopped drinking diet soda...

LOVE your parenting style! Too many kids just run free with technology...This is refreshing.

I agree with excercising regularly...that is the one thing that I would always let drop in the past...I would continue to eat right, but let one thing or another come between me and the gym and the next thing you know BAM - 20 pounds gained in no time.

Jerry is more right than he thinks! I always "do something' while watching TV...crochet, play solitaire on my laptop, make a grocery list, search for recipes, etc. Nights when I JUST sit and watch I EAT! Try to do something while watching...even fold laundry...for me, it is the best way to not snack -

YOUTUBE...not kidding...I started weight training using free youtoub videos...especially the pilates variety as they are all body weight exercises. I even used cans of food for weights when the regular stuff got too easy. I wouldn't buy a full set of weights just yet unless you can get them at a thrit store...you will very…

As Ironanimal said...ONE THING AT A TIME! Make one change a week and hang on to it while you make another and another and another, and poof, you will become a healthier person!

That was a few years ago -

I had a nutritionist once tell me that since caffiene is a diuretic don't count caffienated teas and coffees as water, but herbal tea and decaf coffee haven't the same dehydrating effect and they would count in the water tally...but to log it and certainly count the calories, if any. It doesn't really matter for me becasue…

Yep, looks like that is what 75% of the responses say. I am stunned!!

Why does everything have to be the way HE wants it to be? Why is it that SHE has to continually compromise? Can he not go for a bike ride or a home packed picnic or a drive to look at Christmas lights, movies, dancing? I think the OP should have the right to make a few decisions too! Her GOAL is to eat healthy, home cooked…
