  • ok, let me clarify. I'm not whatsoever suggesting a change to my allotted calories. I'm just trying to get a more accurate read on how many calories I am actually burning during the course of a day just so that I'll know for my own edification :) and sorry, but MFP gives me 2073 for my specs no matter how many times I plug…
  • thank you. "stick in the mud" isn't how I'd describe that asinine comment. this is not the place to be so negative, go somewhere else dude. it's a Polar FT4. as for my BMR I calculated it both here and on some other sites online and always get around 2000 to 2100 calories per day, which seems insanely low to me. I've…
  • just go totally ketogenic. my wife and I have been doing it for the last couple of months and have lost well over 30lbs each. once your body is ketogenic your blood sugar levels no longer fluctuate.
  • that's why I like myfitnesspal, no trickery or silly voodo...just plain old science. if you want to lose weight you need to burn more than you take in. it's that simple. just stick with it and you WILL lose weight, your body has no choice in the matter.
  • pretty sure that when someone says that it's meant as a compliment. take it as such.
  • If you are 5" tall and 123lbs then you sound like you are a perfect healthy weight. Boyfriend sounds like a jerkbag to be honest. Go find a nice guy that will compliment you.
  • almost 200lbs is NOT that big really. Just eat right around 1300 calories a day but also burn a couple of hundred calories doing some exercise. You'll lose fast but won't force your body into starvation mode. Likewise if you're wanting to drop it fast but not make your body go into starvation mode look into ultra-low carb…
  • If you want to do low-carb then eat nothing but meats, eggs and dairy. Sorry, but that's the only real way. Vegetables are carbs. You have to get your body to switch from burning carbs as a fuel source to protein as a fuel source. Once you do you lose weight very quickly but alas that's virtually impossible on a vegan diet.
