Hi! I've got a similar road ahead... Currently at 225lbs and want to lose 50-60. I have a 2 year old and a 6 week old, so like you find it hard to fit in workouts. I've just realized lately though, that more than having a nice body, I want to do this so my kids have an example. I don't want them to struggle like I have.…

Hi Caitie! Sounds like you have work ahead, but you can do it! Just remember to think of it one day at a time, one meal at a time. At least that's what I have to tell myself. My goal is to lose 50-60 lbs and it sounds so daunting. We can to this!

I love it as well - I was just looking through the boards seeing if anyone had ideas for good flavors. Perfect timing! I'm drinking celestial peach right now. Yum! I wonder if anyone has advice on a good tea pot/ infuser/ tea press for loose leaf tea? I would like to get one, but don't know the next thing about them...

I'm gonna try again! :-)

I'm in! This is what I need to get back on track! I'm out of state visiting family right now, so I don't have my correct scale - but I will list my weight when I get home. This week I re-tried the 30 day shred video, and started doing Bob Harper's weight loss yoga video. Both are great... will try to keep at it! I'm also…

Trying to get back on track after a 6 week hiatus. Help!
-
I just checked back in on this challenge and everyone's progress. Looks like you're all doing well! I've taken a month hiatus, and it's about time I get myself back on track. Looking forward to another challenge... if there is going to be one??

Wow, so I haven't been on track since week 3. Had finals week, then my husbands graduation and party.... then celebratory trip to Hawaii (didn't think much about calories there, but did TONS of walking)... then a family reunion.... and NOW... finally back to routine. I gained between 7-10lbs over that course of 3 weeks...…

Thanks April for posting!! I'm back this week. Made it through final exams, tons of company in town, my husbands graduation and several parties... now trying to get back on track. Amazing how taking me out of my routine shakes everything up! This am I am at 172.2lbs. Hope to get into the 160's soon! I will try my best with…

I'm definitely in. My starting weight for this challenge is 171.2. My mini goal is to be down 8-10lbs in 10 weeks. I can do it!! I need to take an updated pic, but I'll do that this evening. I choose to do the 30 day shred video, and I'll work on doing all those crunches, rows, etc. Also the 150 miles of walking - I've…

Hi all! this week I'm at 172.2, down 1lb from last week. I was MIA last week and I'm amazed I lost anything at all. It's getting down to finals week at school, and I've been swamped with papers, projects, presentations, and exams. Anyways... this next week will be all about getting back on track. I've gotten almost to this…

1) I did 10 miles on the bike last night - woo! Getting some motivation back to keep going. 2) Abs - MOST DEFINITELY need to work on these, even if only doing sit ups. I have an exercise ball, so will try something with that. 3) Color: GREEN - the color of spring. More salads planned for this week, and make Broccoli salad…

Down 0.8 this week, woot! I will definitely do my best to get 7 more miles... since I'm doing it on a bike, I can do that many in 1 session, so I'm going to mark it up to 21 miles... which means 3 workouts minimum. THANKS for including the water again - why is it that I struggle so much with this?? Meditation: 1 hour of…

Down 0.4 from last week... I had actually gotten down to 174.8, but back up this morning. Ah well, overall loss. Seems like I'm going so incredibly slow at weight loss now, but if that's how my body is doing it, I'll take it... as long as it's in the right direction. Wow - lots of challenges this week! I'll do my best!…

tagging this for later. :-)

I've been sort of absent this week - it's our spring break here, so picked up extra hours at work. Joy... BUT it's an active job, so more calories burned! Looks like everyone is doing awesome!! And I want to say THANK YOU for the motivation this group provides... off to kick my butt off this couch and away from the…

My motivation lately has been finding some great workout music - something with a fast beat to keep me going. Gets me in the mood to exercise... that and watching old episodes of biggest loser. :-P Just remember too, you WILL have days like this... sometimes a week at a time... but that doesn't mean you can pick yourself…

Down 0.6 this week... eh, it's a loss, so it counts. Still going in the right direction sloowwwlllyyy... 1) My new green food this week so far has been raw broccoli. I've always eaten it cooked. Also green pepper just raw. I normally put it in salads or cook it with something, but to just munch on raw veggies is something…

Will weight in Tomorrow morning and start off the week with all those wonderful challenges. I'm already looking forward to eating green... that's a GREAT idea! Actually, they say the more color you can add to your diet the better... because fruits and veggies tend to be the most colorful. Maybe I'll start tracking my food…

to wherever you want the quote to end...if that made any sense...anyhoozles if working on push-ups is a goal of yours, maybe try to do as many as you can every day, even on days that you don't do P90X. To build up stamina, y'know? Just spent a nice long chunk of time outside with the puppy loves. Worked on the garden in…

Down 0.4 lbs this week. Seems like I hit the 170's and went into a major plateau. I've been trying to up my exercise intensity to help out... Challenge 1: I used to drink 1-3 glasses per day, now I've been averaging 4-6. Gonna try for that 8 glasses!! Challenge 2: Is yoga okay? My Doc recommended it for my stress and…

It is scary to be open and to realize why you are who you are. Congrats on being able to do that! I have to say I cried a little right along with you because it made me realize the roots of some of my issues as well. And then it makes me think "What on earth am I doing to myself, and why can't I change???". It gets to you,…

Down to 178.6 this week. 1.4lb loss from last week. WOO! HOPEFULLY I'll continue downward with this progress. I'm planning on it! 1) Eating home meals. Definitely need to focus on that this week. Even if my husband tries to tempt me otherwise... I made homemade tuna noodle casserole last night, and broccoli and turkey…

All you ladies and your pretty nail polish... *sigh*... I wish! I'm a nursing student - and like already mentioned here, I have to keep them free of polish and short. Ah well. My toesies can be cute! :-) I just realized that maybe my recumbant biking would count as "miles"? I did over 6 last night... maybe more, can't…

Well I actually gained a little this week. I've not been paying attention to my calories like I should... so therefore, some changes must be made. 1) I'm going to try to give up sugar as best I can this week... including soda. 2) More water - I love it ice cold with ice cubes in it. But you could also freeze lemon water or…
