I can't fathom why people always fall for this kind of trolling. If someone posts multiple low-content threads and is argumentative, they are obviously trying to get a rise out of people.

No.

Weigh out a serving of each snack and stop at that. Learning how to do that is important for maintenance. Or you could buy lower calorie snacks for you to snack on while he eats his treats. Sobe icepops are only 40 calories. I also like those dole "dippers" - frozen chocolate covered bananas and strawberries that are…

She means are you weighing your food.
-
OP you are eating more than you think. Buy a food scale.
-
Sorry that happened to you. Luckily, weight loss has more to do with diet than exercise.

Gin and tonic with diet tonic water. Roughly 100 calories a cup, depending on how heavy you pour the gin.

i used to complain about bros doing shrugs in the squat rack, and then I graduated to an intermediate routine which meant that I then had to do shrugs in the squat rack. Now I don't care what anyone else does.

I also have a fear of people calling it a "journey."

This is like the dudes who sit on the subway rapping to themselves with their dumb giant headphones on full blast and crooked. It's unbelievably annoying.

OP have you been tested for Hydradenitis Suppurativa? It's a genetic skin condition. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hidradenitis-suppurativa/basics/definition/con-20027334

I watch my 600 lb life - a show where super morbidly obese people are documented while they undergo surgery, lose weight and attempt to save their lives. I watch it because the success stories are encouraging and emotional. The thing that I can never really wrap my head around is that fact that nearly all of them are told…

You need to provide more information about what you've been doing so far. There is no way to "jump start" your metabolism, there is a calorie deficit or not. If you are eating at a deficit you lose weight, if you are eating at a surplus you do not. Do you weigh your food? How much do you weigh/how much are you trying to…

You are worrying about a lot of things that don't matter. Eat at a calorie deficit until the fat that you want to lose is gone. Lifting weights would help to accomplish this faster.

You probably suck at it because there is no clear definition of what "clean" eating means. How can you be good (or bad, for that matter) at something when the criteria for being good/bad is arbitrary? Some people think they are eating "clean" when they are sticking to organic or "all-natural" products (organic canned soup,…

For any and all people who think their deadlift form is "off" : the bar should be in contact with your legs through the entire lift, basically dragging the bar up your shins. Your feet should be hip width, with the bar right over the middle of your foot. Before you lift, you should press your shoulders back and clench your…

Your thighs can't get bigger if you're eating a calorie deficit. Focus more on your intake than what you can burn, as machines are often wrong.

The most likely scenario is that you are adding back too many exercise calories and/or eating more calories than you think, OP. Weigh your food, and eat a set amount of calories regardless of exercise.
-
Yep. My old coworkers used to complain that they had "slow metabolisms" and tell me that I was "just lucky" but I would mentally calculate their food intake and they'd be up to 2000+ by 4 pm while I was sticking to 1700-1800 and losing 2 lbs a week. I never gave out unsolicited advice to them, but they loved to dole out…

I did 5x5 back when I started lifting. I weighed 150 when I started, and had lost 26 lbs doing only cardio. I began at 75 lbs for squats, 95 pounds for deadlifts, 30 lbs overhead press, 40 lbs for bent rows and 45 lbs for bench. Everyone is different, so you really will just have to try out weights and see what you can…

I like sunflower seed butter, but it is higher calorie and more savory tasting than peanut butter.

I go to the gym because I don't have the space for an olympic lifting set in my house. If you can do the workouts you want to do at home, then I don't see a reason to unnecessarily spend the extra money.
-
What's boring about deadlifting more than you weigh? Not one thing.

I get more cheese now. I also know that a package that claims 'about 2' servings is rarely true, it can be much more or much less.

My thumbnail got fungus when I was younger and I used Sally Hanson fungus remover. It comes in a little bottle that looks like nail polish and costs like $15 if I recall correctly. You can find it anywhere nail polish is sold. I cut the nail as short as it could go, (almost off - nails with fungus usually raise up, hollow…

He's making a joke about the fact that you will argue to the death about seemingly anything. I'm not sure if you're a long-term troll or just a constantly contrary person.

f'real. Women hating on other women is so gross to me. Also the reason why I have mostly guy friends.

Every carbohydrate you eat is metabolized into sugar by your body. If you eat more sugar than your body can process for an extended period of time, which generally only happens if you're in a caloric surplus, you are at risk for diabetes. That's why most people who develop type 2 diabetes are overweight or obese.

I love these threads because I imagine that the OP is like 'bet no one has ever posted this topic before.'
