Iced coffee only. I use a scoop of powder, water, ice and a tablespoon of instant coffee. I have a ninja, I stick it in the single serve blender cup. It comes out like a coffee coolatta.

Charity's body terrified me. When she was walking around and her extra top butt was flapping, I kept thinking it was super fragile and it looked like it might rip off. Plus she's surrounded by enablers, her daughter is a few short years off from being where Charity is now. Such a disturbing and sad episode.

I lost about 80 lbs in 2004 using a notebook and a calorie count book. MFP Is definitely easier and more convenient. Thanks technology!

This reminds me of that show "freaky eaters" where people claim they can't eat anything but 1 specific food, usually something a 5 year old would want for every meal: pizza, french fries, cheesy potatoes. There was a lady who tried to eat broccoli and was dry heaving over it. They all needed to go to cognitive behavioral…

come on with the order.... take FOREVER

Or that time some lady called 911 on carl's junior because they gave her a regular burger when she ordered a western. edit: sorry it was BK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zqj5ilXtWU

She'd rather derail multiple threads and flag everyone for very civilly suggesting that she take a break from the forums if it causes her so much mental strain. Makes a lot of sense.

right, warming up is great, it's awesome. But they aren't warming up for anything? I am there for usually 1 hour plus and I see lots of warm ups, no actual lifting happens. This is very new, fresh faces. I've been going to this gym for like 2 years and I've never seen anything like it before. I'm guessing it'll drop off.…

nope, because treadmills are for running, or jogging, or walking. weight rooms are for lifting weights. I don't know where specifically flailing your arms wildly should be done? Probably not right next to someone benching, someone who is thinking "this guy is going to smack into my barbell and hurt me."
-
There's an entire area meant for this activity, like a giant open space of floor for it. They like to do it in the cramped weight room, why? Maybe it's specifically to make me laugh and fail a lift? I will never understand it. I feel like I'm on a hidden camera show every time I see it.

I'm noticing a wave of cross-fit like people doing box step-ups, shoulder circles, burpees, windmill kicks in the middle of the weight room. Pretty much everything they are doing can be done at home, or in a park, or in a parking lot... Why pay for the gym, just to take up space and flail wildly (it's ridiculously…

Coffee, water, fiber, fat

Yes. One other time it was a cheese plate with roasted peppers and such, we didn't argue and she ate most of it herself. I don't go out to eat with her and her boyfriend much anymore, which is sad. It's less about food and more about her being a control freak, though.

I have a friend who likes to eat, a lot. She's gained about 100 lbs in the 6 years I've known her. Whenever I go out to dinner with her, she tries to strong-arm the entire table into getting something that she "just NEEDS" to eat. One time, she spent about 7 minutes trying to pressure me and another friend into getting an…

Based on the numbers you came up with, it seems like you know how much you can eat and still lose weight. I am a long time recovering restrictive eater (600-900 while walking 10 miles daily at my worst) and I can tell you, if I go below 1400 for a few days I'm close to the "danger zone" for my own mental health. You really…

Just stop publishing your diary if you don't like it.

The nutritionist telling Joe and his mom that everything in their fridge/pantry was terrible was a really awkward scene. I don't understand how someone can be 800 lbs and not realize that dousing everything in ranch dressing is a bad idea. Dr. Now said he had to be eating 10,000+ calories a day to gain 15 lbs in a month. I…

I'm not a particularly sweaty person and still lose consistently if I am in a deficit. Sweating more during cardio may mean you will have temporarily lower water weight, but it doesn't matter for fat loss.

This. The weight you can squat with a smith is not comparable to what you'd be able to squat with a barbell because a barbell requires balance and core strength and works more muscles. You also can't squat to a natural squat position/full depth potential because the bar is fixed. IMO you're better off doing goblet squats…

Not to butt into this fun rape derail (sarcasm), but I watched Angel's episode today and was happy to see a woman with drive to succeed as well as a supportive boyfriend. Most of these women are married to/living with men who seem to fetishize and prefer an immobile woman. example: Bettie Jo's husband, as well as Melissa's…

Not to make excuses for the OP, but I used to work on a horse farm that was owned by an Olympian and I was not 'qualified' to muck, groom, tack or turnout any of the Olympic caliber horses. The rest of the farm (boarder and school horses) was fair game. But anyway, OP: get up earlier than you normally do and work out.

Like I said several times, she came across like she wants/needs to have blizzards and large treats all the time that put her over her goal. OP seems to think she is so addicted to "sweets" that she can't stop herself from getting a giant shake. she also said that will-power is not and option for her. She is not talking…

No one here is being mean. It's just a fact that you can't spot reduce fat. There is no exercise that will make you smaller.

I basically had a mental breakdown when I quit cold turkey last September. It was about 2 weeks into the quit and I was still crying for no reason on a daily basis. Don't make sweeping generalizations about drug withdrawal, it's not that simple for a lot of people. That's why I get really annoyed when people talk about…

At various stages in my life I have binge ate ice tea mix, malted milk mix, plain sugar, bread crumbs, an entire box of chocolate bars I was supposed to sell (in high school), my uncle's weight gain protein powder (when I was 10), raw cookie dough and tang mix.
-
I really wanted the pumpkin pie blizzard when it first came out, but the tiniest one was something ridiculous like 600 calories. I like talenti as an indulgence because i can weigh it. It is also amazing. eta: but everything we are discussing pertains to willpower, which the OP thinks is not possible for her. Just my…

Those atkins commercials with Sharon Osbourne make me want to smack someone in the head. "You mean I can eat pizza and yogurt and bread and lose weight??" 'With atkins pizza, now you can!' I can eat pizza and ice cream and bread and yogurt and lose weight without spending $7 on one tiny atkins frozen pizza. ugh.
