  • Today was our first day back as well! Oh my was it hard. Everyone got so used to "free time" all day that there were too many reminders to settle down and focus on their work. Unfortunately I had to reteach how to divide by a decimal to my oldest. I was really shocked when our public schooled neighbor kid came knocking on…
  • To the OP: Please know that you are not alone. You will get a wide range of suggestions many of which will contradict each other. There's the range from have a heart to heart, all the way to divorce the guy. It all depends on your point of view, and what your ultimate goals in life are. What is so important to you and what…
  • I'd be scared to do it barefoot! I "run" (I use that word loosely) at a nearby park which has a trail. I'd be afraid I'd step on something and get a cut or something. I do have to say though, the idea of being barefoot sounds enticing.
  • I need a pitty party! I'm so sick of working my tale off and getting no support what so ever from my husband. The people on mfp are great! They're full of "good job!"s, and "great burn"s. But I don't know any of them in real life (which doesn't make them any less awesome, it's just their awesomeness is kinda lost on me).…
  • I'm on week 6. I'm happy with the progress I've made, but every time an actual runner passes me on the trail I can't help but think "I want to be like him/her." I want to be like you! Thanks for encouraging us with your victories. :)
  • We certainly are! Not so much because others are doing it, but because I need it! In summer we only take two to three weeks off, this is so we can take more time off throughout the year for family trips or just to stop burnout. I do find though that more than two weeks and we start to go stir crazy. For these two weeks,…
  • Well, I woke up this morning and it was raining! I almost chickened out, but I forced myself out of bed. Ya know what, the 20 minutes wasn't THAT bad. It was hard, and the last 2 minutes I really had to push myself but I was able to do it! If anyone else is scared of the Week 5 Day 3, it's not as bad as we think it's going…
  • How fantastic! Good job!
  • Can I join in the chorus of "What?? 20minutes straight?? Are you kidding me??" I finished Day 2 today, the 8 minutes were hard... guess I'm gonna have to talk myself into the full 20 tomorrow. :frown:
  • I'm nearly halfway through C25K. When I began I just kinda averaged it as brisk walking. Then I actually separated it and logged the time spent jogging and the time spent walking. Then I got a heart rate monitor, and I'm SO glad I did! The calories I burned was actually a good deal higher than what mfp estimated. Now I…
  • Judging from the replies in this thread it seems that most ladies who were well endowed got bigger and stayed bigger. However, those of us who started small end up the same if not smaller. Unfortunately I'm in the second camp mentioned. It's the only bad part about loosing this weight. I'll be back down to an A. :(
  • WAY TO GO!! Of course, I'm sure your adrenaline was pumping, but still that's pretty awesome! Maybe you're new nickname at the gym can be Wonder Woman! :)
  • Oh my goodness gracious! Way to go! You look fab!
  • Yay you! We all have days where it's hard, but keep at it and it will be so worth it! You've already made such a HUGE difference, you should be very proud of yourself! And thank you and your husband (I presume) for your service to this country!
  • You don't even look like the same person! Amazing job! You look so cute and young and fresh. Way to go!
  • Thank you so much for sharing! When ever I feel like I'm struggling I come check out these success stories and it is so inspiring!
  • Good Job! I just did week 4 day 1 today, and I know I felt great. You've gotta be on cloud 9!
  • That is such a HUGE difference. You look great!
  • Thanks for this tip. I shop at the commissary, while the prices are lower, the service is non existent. We have a Publix going in up the street though, I may have to stop and ask them to do that when they open, I bet the recipe will be even better!
  • Great way to face the truth, proclaim the problem and you're on your way to defeat it!
  • I just finished W2D3 today. My next running day isn't until Tuesday! The 3minute run is messing with my mind... I'm feeling VERY intimidated. Maybe I'll get up early tomorrow (*gasp* on a Saturday!) and do a Week 3 Prequel thing.
  • I feel your pain! I took our 3yr old chocolate lab with me this morning (Week 2 Day 3) She would get in front of me, then slow down to look back and see where I was. Which of course, I was on the other end of the leash and almost fell over her! Then when we got by the ducks (the park I'm "running" at has a pond) she was…
  • Eclectic is the word I like to describe us. :) My four kids have different learning styles, yet I can't have four very different sets of curriculum to teach so we 're here and there and everywhere. We start with bible, which is just my kids taking turns reading and us all discussing. We're crawling our way through a…
  • Holy cow woman! You are such an inspiration to me! I'm a 34 yr old mom w/4 kids, and yeah, I'm trying to reclaim my body too. Thank you for sharing your story and your pictures with the rest of us.
  • Being military, we've had the pleasure of living in Arizona, South Carolina, Germany, and Kansas. Now we reside in lower Alabama. We're so confused when someone asks us where home is, we don't really have an answer. lol
  • Awesome!
  • Yay you! Having to go back to the rack for a smaller size... what a great problem to have!
  • Hey razzquills! It's been a few days, I was just wondering if you've given it a shot again, and how you're doing/feeling.
  • I'm much like you! I plan to weigh in on Monday mornings, but there's other days that I just can't help myself. Usually Thursday comes around and I just HAVE to know if I'm on the right track. I think it's okay, as long as it doesn't become something you're obsessed with. If I absolutely couldn't go a day without weighing…
  • Each of my children have their own activity that they love and get to do. My two girls take a gymnastics class once a week, my younger son has Taekwondo twice a week, and my oldest son goes from sport to sport as the seasons come and go. (Basketball practice starts Monday!) All of my kids ride their bikes just for fun…
