I burn between 900-1000 on my "long days" it takes me more like 100-110 minutes to burn 1,000 though. i would only be in about the 650 range if i did it for 65 minutes as well! and i use the elliptical

I read your profile and that says you just had a baby & your husband hates the way you look because you JUST HAD A BABY? Sorry but it took you 9 months to put on those extra pounds...it doesn't all come off when the baby comes out. Take your time losing it, and do it for yourself! Good luck to you.

Water!! If it's the middle of the night and I wake up ravenous I drink a large glass of water. Either that, or end up snacking on something that I later feel guilty about, so I usually try and stick to the water.

Every Wednesday morning before I shower or do anything to get ready for the day! (albeit, i go to the bathroom first... get rid of that extra tiny amount of weight haha) If I had a long weekend of either drinking or eating more than normal, I might check it on Monday mornings to see if there is a gain but by my "official"…

I allow myself "cheat times" occasionally. If they are infrequent and you have worked hard then you deserve them! like right now, I have had wayyyy too much to drink but I work hard so tomorrow I will work it off. :-) It's all about moderation. eta: my drinking was NOT moderation. it was my bday and my mom came to visit me…

It's all about changing your mind set. That was the biggest thing for me to overcome. Now I'm eating between 1200-1400 cals a day and feel satisfied. When I'm hungry, I eat. I have stocks of 100 cal snacks, I have chips (I just count out the serving size and bag it up so I can grab it on the go) I go out to eat, I drink…

I sometimes feel like I just HAVE to work out or else I'll gain all the weight I've lost back by the next morning. However, laziness sits in maybe once a week or once every two weeks and I just don't go. And ya know what? I feel a little bad about it, but the next time I go work out I end up there longer/working harder…

I started out a normal healthy weight for my height and my first semester of college i actually ended up losing weight! then my serious boyfriend and i broke up (i went to that college TO be with him) and i gave up working out, watching anything i ate and picked up some major bad food habits aaaaand, you guessed it, LOTS…

Allowed myself to listen to my body and NOT work out. My mind has been going crazy since I started working out that I was a bad, terrible person if I didn't make it to the gym. My body is worn out & exhausted and I finally have allowed myself to take the evening off. Stayed under my calorie & drank plenty of water. Now…

My birthday is next weekend and I've been trying to work drinking into it and was wondering this same thing! Looks like what I'll be drinking has 65 calories/oz (ciroc peach) but that doesn't include the mixer which will probably be sprite.... and those soda cals will add up quick.

where would i go about finding them to try? somewhere online it said walmart doesn't carry them and unfortunately that's where i end up doing most of my grocery shopping as they have everything i need..

I'm trying to get an kinect for our xbox at home but don't want to buy one new at the store and none of craigslist in my area! hopefully soon though. sorry, that was not helpful at all!!

i'm the SAME WAY! 9 pounds & 3 weeks in and i'm just like, why don't i look amazing yet? unfortunately 9 pounds on me isnt anywhere close enough to show anything. which i know, but seem to look in the mirror and expect to see a 6 pack. just keep truckin' be proud that you ARE trying to change and that by changing your old…

i had no idea there were so many types of yoga? i figured it was just like, beginner, intermediate & advanced or something :p shows how much i have to learn!
-
thank you so much for the replies! i eventually would like to go to yoga at a gym but i'm a little shy and would feel out of place.... i've finally conquered my fear of going to the gym and knowing that i don't look ridiculous so i'm sure i will get there! :)
-
i looked on amazon and yoga mats vary from $10-$40.... is it better to pay for quality or will they all pretty much be the same? **also would i want a "yoga for beginners" dvd or a "yoga for weightloss"? both are like $8 on amazon and both got good reviews so i'm not really sure which would be more beneficial?

I hear ya! I live with my boyfriend and as much as he complains that he is a "whale" (his words-NOT mine!!! i think he is adorable) he refuses to work out, or really try to do any healthy eating so I'm pretty much alone. We have to eat separate meals now because I am much more conscious of what I am eating and he is on a…

generally i work out after i eat my supper and this helps me to not overeat so that an hour after i eat i am ready to hit the gym and wont end up getting an upset stomach. works for me, everyone is different though :)

i bought garlic powder a few years back and hated it, however i may try that again to get the garlic taste without the salt. maybe my palate has matured enough for me to enjoy this now :) also, what is pasta squash?? (i think that's what it was called--i can't see the post now that i'm typing this)

Not many people have that much time in a day to dedicate to working out. More power to you if you do.
