  • Not quite what I was aiming for but any loss is better than gaining! February Start Weight:243.6lbs February Goal Weight:239 lbs Ultimate Goal Weight:135lbs Feb1 :243.6lbs Feb 7:242.8lbs Feb15: Feb 22: Feb 28:
  • I've barely done anything as I'm just so drained from working! I've pottered around the garden a bit digging it up and planting stuff and been walking. After lockdown 1 we went on some wanders in Northumberland and in summer used a week holiday just going on more walks around the area. We went into lockdown 2 pretty early…
  • February Start Weight:243.6lbs February Goal Weight:239 lbs Ultimate Goal Weight:135lbs Feb1 :243.6lbs Feb 8: Feb15: Feb 22: Feb 28: Hoping this keeps me accountable this month. 1lb a week is goal due to being stuck sat at home so much but even more is great!
  • feel free to add me. I'm 5'4 and started at 248. These damn lockdowns have a lot to answer for as I was about a stone lighter at this time last year. I'm taking 2021 as a year to be a bit healthier and lose some weight as I want to be out that obese high risk category. I'm aiming on about 1lb a week so not quick but…
  • I'm up north. If anyone wants to add me feel free. I could do with people people to prod me if I've become so engrossed in work I've forgotten to log things and complete my diary.
  • Thanks all. I'm not thinking of it as a big calorie burning exercise but more as a way of burning a few calories and also just getting the blood pumping again. Since moving to mostly working from home I've had my bp go up (to the extend my gp has threatened me with medication) and notice that I'm out of breath easily when…
  • Good luck! I'm an OT student rather than a nurse but same struggle. Long hours in the classroom and all sorts going on when doing placements. It is possible to loose weight - I've lost 25lbs since mid Jan but I've found I have to be super careful with what I eat and hide all snacky stuff (and miss out on the chocs that…
  • My graduation - next year! (I've no intention of quickly trying to drop near 100lbs. Best to be slow, steady and healthy) Also the fact that I was struggling to fit into my uniform for placement was an eye opener as to how much weight had snuck on...
  • Congrats. I've done similar at nearly 17lbs in 6 weeks although a big drop happened at the start and then I've been plodding along between 2lbs and 1.5lbs a week. I started off within a few lbs of your start weight and I'm hoping to hit 200lbs by summer. I've done mfp before when I had a very active job and dropped to 165…
  • I've lost nearly 16lbs and not dropped a size yet. Started a uk 20 and still am. I do have to opt for elasticated wait trousers now though as my jeans drop off but the next size down won't fit my hips (my waist is there). I have a feeling last time I lost weight it was about 15lbs a size for me once I got under 200lbs…
  • Yep I do. Although I'm very good and have malteasers so at least they aren't too calorie heavy. lol. I also have to buy the fun size packs as if you leave an open pack next to me... I have to pre-portion anything else and have them at the end of the day after my tea. If it fits in my calories then why make myself miserable…
  • Well done! I just weighed myself today and I've done the same as you. Just popped past 1 stone (by .4lbs) Good luck with the rest
  • I've had a fitbit one since Jan 2013 and I love it. It's still going strong and I still wear it on placement when I'm in a hospital and have to be bare below the elbow. I've also had a fitbit charge hr since Jan 2015. I'm on my 3rd one of them at the minute due to issues with the strap peeling but I do love it. I love…
  • I'm starting again this year and I really hear you about working in a call centre. It ruined my weight loss as I didn't realise just how many calories being active in my previous job gave me (I could eat over 2000 a day and still be dropping 2lb a week!) If it helps the I'm now around the 240 mark 5'4" and also floating…
  • Thanks. Luckily it's been a much quicker the 2nd time around I remember having it when I was 16. I was laid up for about 3 months. I was terrified I'd be like that again. Still not much fun though.
  • Thanks. I'll take a look :) Something different is always good.
  • On the days I work... set 1st alarm for 2.45. Turn off and roll over set 2nd alarm for 2.50. Turn it off and debate getting up (if it's snowed I drag myself out of bed at this point) set 3rd alarm for 2.55. Actually get up, stumble downstairs to put kettle on, come upstairs go to loo then back down to make my tea then back…
  • me! In fact despite the snow my fitbit is shouting at me for not enough walking so I'm off out to hunt for some boxes... crazy? yes! At least it means I'll enjoy my sunday dinner later
  • It does rather mess up my eating and sleeping habits. lol. I got a fitbit and it now views my 'night' sleep as a nap and what I call my 'nap after work' as a proper sleep (if that makes sense? lol) I don't know if I'm coming or going. At least I'm active at work so I wake up pretty fast. the amount of tea and coffee our…
  • Tea, I don't function without it. (then again I don't drink coffee). i can tell at work if I haven't had my cup of tea in the morning. I'm all over the place for the first hour or so. It's a running joke amongst that my friends that after I've been at work and they want me to do anything in an evening they should ply me…
  • No time to exercise at work :(. I only have a 30 min break for breakfast :( luckily it is a rather physical job so I'm not stuck at a desk or anything and am active (I think that's the only reason I stay awake!) So you think I should try and sleep through the day and just turn nocturnal instead of trying to just shift…
  • I'm rather lucky in that I have a rather physical job (I do home shopping for a large supermarket chain) so I walk around 5 miles a day at work (whilst pushing a heavy trolley of course). Walking on my days off I don't count as exercise as I'd normally be walking them at work. Does that make sense?
