Coffee Vs. Tea which gets you going in the mornings?

I am asking because I am trying to give up coffee or at least drink way less of it. I had tea this morning instead of coffee & I feel super sleepy & almost uncoordinated. I have walked into a pillar & banged my head twice by accident lol! My friend says that it's all in my head & that tea is just as good as coffee. I told her I'm pretty sure most people depend on coffee more than tea & she disagrees & says tea is just as good to wake you up in the morning. So, I'm doing my own little study here lol! If you don't drink either one, then no reply is necessary. Thanks!

Tea, I don't function without it. (then again I don't drink coffee). i can tell at work if I haven't had my cup of tea in the morning. I'm all over the place for the first hour or so.
It's a running joke amongst that my friends that after I've been at work and they want me to do anything in an evening they should ply me with tea to wake me up (I start work at 4am... I'm not just lazy. lol)0 -

Def my coffee. makes for a intense pre workout too0 -
It does rather mess up my eating and sleeping habits. lol. I got a fitbit and it now views my 'night' sleep as a nap and what I call my 'nap after work' as a proper sleep (if that makes sense? lol) I don't know if I'm coming or going. At least I'm active at work so I wake up pretty fast.
the amount of tea and coffee our department went through at xmas when we had 2am starts was something to see. lol0
