  • I'm confused about this post. You're asking advice about dropping your calories to a dangerously low number, in which everyone has responded that it's not a good idea. However, you're rejecting and arguing against everyone's advice. It seems you're going to do what you feel is best. Perhaps you shouldn't post asking for…
  • Although it may be difficult to do, I make myself get up before work and get my running in. I found that it was easier to make excuses not to go in the evening, and sometimes like just gets in the way too. Committing to doing it first thing in the morning is the best way to go for me. The first week was very hard because I…
  • I would be careful about putting all of the blame on being a woman and being in your 30's. Of course there is some truth there, but not enough to use as a full excuse for not losing weight. It might be useful to get a physical and bloodwork done to ensure all is okay and there are no problems like thyroid issues. Like…
  • Correction to above...I "brown" the turkey breast first, not ground. :-)

Some of my faves are: Bean and Cheese Burritos (frozen), 260 calories each Broccoli and Cheese Quiche (frozen), 460 calories each Soyaki Sauce (teriyaki/soy) (bottle) - great for chicken, 70 cals per serving Rosemary Chicken Breast (fresh/prepackaged), 160 or so per serving Chips and Salsa…

You can buy it at GNC, Cost Plus, online, etc. I've tried several flavors - my favorites are strawberry and vanilla. Chocolate and banana are good too. You can either blend it with some ice and water or milk for a frothier mix, or just…
  • I live in a condo downtown and love running on the Riverwalk. South of downtown is great - very few tourists travel south of the River Center Plaza area so you can enjoy a great path without the crowds. I also run Leon Creek and Salado Creek greenways too. Both have nice easy, paved paths. :-)
