http://www.myfitnesspal.com/user/marciebrian/profile/ I've been using my fitbit for close to a year and love it! it keeps me focused on my activity and I'm so competitive I do lots of steps!!! LOL

that's awesome ;-) go you!

I didn't have that much to lose but when I first started tracking my calories I was quite shocked at how much I was eating. Took off the weight and best purchase ever, got myself a fitbit! I'm 61y.o. and quite competitive so the fitness challenges on fitbit have been a lot of fun, keep the weight off, toned me more than I…

I didn't have that much to lose but always struggled with about 15 or so lbs. I'm 60 (soon 61) 5'2 1/2 and currently at 115. That doesn't sound too thin but it is for me. I have days that I still feel fat but my size 4 suits are swimming on me. its a constant struggle finding a balance even at my age ;-( you'll be fine. I…

WOW is not enough but what a remarkable transformation! Congratulations on saving your own life!!!!!!

There really are no words to express how amazing you look and how incredibly proud you should be with your success. Congratulations seems too small for this but it's all I have. Just amazing! ;)

You DO look amazing and I would almost swear it's not the same gal LOL Congratulations :)
-
Fantastic post! thank you

And what I loved the most about your posting is that you have more confidence! that's HUGE! Congrats on the 70 and no doubt your colleagues are helping by sharing their kudos and how beautiful you are o:)

Don't get discouraged. You've lost 13 lbs in less than 2 months, that's awesome. Don't go below the 1200 calories there is no need to and it may encourage you to binge if you get too hungry. You're doing great and you've hit a plateau. Just keep doing what you're doing and try not to get too discouraged if you hit a few…

beautiful always, happier and joyful now. You look amazing. Congratulations on your amazing achievement. ;)

That's a great idea. I agree about the South Beach diet as well. Good luck and wish you a healthy future

so annoying to keep seeing people say such nonsense! No you will NOT go into starvation mode. If it did I guess we wouldn't have to worry about malnourished children being so emaciated. You should eat to your goal but don't stress a few calories below or over. As for exercise calories 1/2 back is what is most recommended.…

I agree, what a great idea ;-) you sound like an awesome dad! Good luck OP

Hi Glen and welcome to MFP! Sounds like you have worked out a good plan for yourself. Best of luck to you and if you want to add some folks for motivation etc... feel free to add me.

what she said! Barf!

on Sunday's I take a muffin tin, use non-stick spray, fill with egg whites, some ham or cheese (or both) and a vegetable. Cook at 350 for 20 minutes and you're done. yummy, easy and low calorie/high protein

you really do look fantastic and it's amazing that you were able to accomplish so much with so many detractors. Congratulations!!!

417 today

I was at goal until the holidays. only 3 away so still consider it maintenance. I slacked off on logging which is what I think really kept me on track. I'm happy to encourage if you would like to add me. You'll knock off those pounds quickly but as you already know, maintenance is trickier.

Perfectly stated. I am very sorry for your loss and it's true that your head will catch up with your body. The challenge is learning to feel better about who you are not just about the weight. Best wishes to you and hope good things for you in this new year.

You look fantastic! You should be so proud of what you've accomplished so far :) great job!

Oh I am so sorry about your Mom. I'm glad that you understand that you have to take care of yourself and it does your Mom no good to worry about your health. My Mom died when I was even younger than you and in my case I did the opposite and didn't eat. That obviously changed throughout the years but your health and well…

good luck! We all had a day 1 and this is a good one to start. Wishing you lots of success! :)

I'm a little late to the challenge but I'm in starting tomorrow. Can't deny that we had a glass of wine after work but I would love to do this. I eat too much when I drink alcohol

well you were adorable then and adorable now but the change is amazing! Great job and Happy New Year!

absolutely this!

I just baked my breakfast quiche for the week. So very simple. Use a muffin tin, spray with non-stick pam or other product. Fill the muffin tins (about 3/4 way) with the egg whites, add some cut up ham, add some cheese and bake on 350 for 20 (maybe a little more depending on your oven) and your done! I just wrapped up…
