and of course Bacon! Glad you're tracking your sodium. it will help a lot. Agree with the soy (just had sushi myself). Olives, pickles, any canned soup is loaded with sodium. Good luck!

I wish I could be supportive... well actually I am supportive of you..... but I live in Baltimore so it goes without saying I want you to stay home LOL. Enjoy your night I promise that one day won't derail your progress. Get back to it on Wednesday and move on. Enjoy the game but I'm still hoping you decide not to go ;-)

I just found my puppy (1 yr old long haired black/tan dachshund) on May 28th. In honesty I actually like to exercise anyway but now I have to take him out a LOT to get him fully house trained. Our schedule is 4:30 a..m. 6:00 a.m (during the day my friend walks him) 5:00/7:00/9:00/11... so I guess yes! I too have cats (3)…

If you're really ready to do it you will! I went cold turkey almost six years ago. I did put on a few lbs but really not much. I don't know that I was "addicted" to cigarettes so much as I am a very oral person so if I wasn't smoking, I was drinking something or eating something. I was so ready to quit. I literally saw my…

thank you for posting this heartfelt reminder of all those who have sacrificed so that we can be free.....

I agree if the boss doesn't support you on this it is time to look for a new career option. I would never tolerate this type of behavior and the fact that your boss said nothing.. frankly speaks volumes. I'm a senior recruiter and I would advise anyone in this situation that this is a toxic environment and move along

Congratulations and you not only look amazing you are so fit! I always liked exercise but now I actually look forward to it at the end of the day and I'm heading very close to 60 YO. Congrats again and happy you are taking such an active role in your health :flowerforyou:

Hi there, I'm 59 and heading to 60 the end of July. I recognize that I have to work harder and eat less to maintain my weight as I get older. I enjoy exercise (never thought that would happen) so maintenance so far is going well. If you do the tdee calculation you'll notice that as we age our calorie needs are much less…

WOW!!! great job and you look awesome  :flowerforyou:

Hi there and welcome! I didn't worry too much either until I quit smoking 5 years ago and gained a few lbs.... okay 18 lbs. (not all from smoking). I'm 59 and now force myself (actually enjoy it but claim to hate) to exercise 6-7 days a week. I lost the 18 lbs and am on maintenance which is the hard part. I'm on daily and…

wow! dream job and fell in love ;-) congratulations and welcome back.. I'm a cancer survivor as well and sorry you have had to deal with it at your young age but all my best wishes and prayers for a long happy healthy life!!!:flowerforyou:  :flowerforyou:

of course it is too little for a 34 year old male. every body/person is different. MFP is not an individual's nutritionist/physician guide it is a generic weight loss/fitness site. sometimes we have to use a little common sense and not rely on a website/application to determine what works for us

never mind... just so tired of the ridiculous starvation mode discussion... really gets old and tiring
-
sorry if I'm being rude but I am so tired of the whole 1200 calorie argument. eat what you think is right for your body. if 1200 is too low., raise it 100-200 more calories. there must be 30 threads a week on the 1200 calorie question. but to answer your question, yes, I did! I'm 59 years old and 5'2 so 1200 works just…
