My Doctor and Dietitian are very happy with my results as are 99% of everyone else I have ever spoken too, thanks for your concern though lol

It's totally healthy and safe actually (1200-1600 calories per day), recommended, tried and tested, Doctors even recommend it, the problem is it isn't the "MFP Way" so must be wrong! lol

^This, I never have and never will eat exercise calories. 107lbs lost in 6 months shows what works lol

^This! Once a week gives a far more stable reading, everyone's weight changes during a typical day up and down again so not very useful weighing yourself more than once a week to be honest.
-
I try to plan my meals for the week ahead as it makes things go much smoother! Near the end of the month it gets difficult though as we run out of decent healthy food as we do a monthly shop.
-
That's cool! looks like your doing everything right!
-
Good job! just be careful what you spend on supplements as it can get out of control easily! been there a good few years ago, got the t-shirt! What is your long term goal?

Pick me pick me!

Well done! amazing difference already!

Two things: Fiber and Protein, if you make sure you have enough of BOTH you will never feel hungry, try it for yourself :) This is one of the things that has helped me lose 107lbs

Yay! :flowerforyou:

Thanks! you have done an awesome job too! big pat on the back!

I'm the same! I don't eat my exercise calories back and have done really well over the last 6 months (107lbs lost), I just stick to what works for me to be honest

I lost 107lbs in 6 months so I'd say 30lbs in about 3-4 weeks in my case BUT this was when I had a LOT of weight to lose, it gets slower and slower the less you have to lose! Trying to lose 30lbs from my current weight (166.6lbs) would takes months and months (if it was even possible), just shows how weight loss…

As your well aware, each and every member on this site is entitled to their own views and opinions whether you agree to them or not as long as it doesn't break any of the sites rules, I will not change this stance because you don't like it. And to be clear, I have NEVER said the MFP plan doesn't work, I said other ways can…

I fully understand the model and everything about the way in which it works but going by past personal experience, I have fully tried and tested BOTH ways, first was eating the exercise calories a few years ago, and then there is my current plan which does NOT allow ANY exercise calories to be eaten. Results for me? First…

Since my last post things have improved so much! I'm back to my old self with regards to food, hardly ever thinking about it which is good!

Someone finally sees sense! The whole exercise calories thing is the only part I really don't like on this site, you go to your doctor and tell them your going to work off 500 calories just to eat them all back a few hours later, he would think you are mad.... I never have and NEVER will, 107lbs down in 6 months shows you…

Well done! you look AMAZING!!!!!!! How are you finding it now? still easy to stay on track?

^This!!!

Welcome to the site!

Welcome! :)

Just go with what your happier with, both ways seem to work, some say some, some say others, I was just pointing out that eating your exercise calories isn't always the answer to faster weight loss. If you need any help send me a message, I always try and help when I can :)

Sorry but no, I have got loads of muscle now, honestly, this is the most muscle I have ever had (arms, legs, stomach, back etc, getting very defined), I've been putting loads of muscle on, I've been losing fat (been tracking it with fat/muscle monitors etc), I know what your saying regarding muscle mass and fat reserves…

Fixed for you! I've done fine (as have 100's if not 1000's on here) without eating exercise calories back, I've lost 107lbs (7 and a half stone) in six months without any issues (been pretty enjoyable on the whole), whats the point in doing all that exercise just to eat it all back lol, defeats the whole point! :noway:…

That sounds just like me!
