I think the Lite coconut milk had extra additives to improve the flavor lost with removing some fat. You're better off with the full fat version anyway. Tastes better and the healthy fat keeps you fuller.

I'm definitely noticing a difference in bloating as well. My sugar cravings are pretty much gone too.

I'm on Round 2 (more like 1.5) of The Whole 30. Yes, it's an elimination diet. The idea is to find out if certain foods cause inflammation for you and to get accustomed to eating a whole food diet. What I like about it is that it helps kick all of my sugar cravings by eliminating all sweeteners, including natural ones. For…

For me, I plateaued (when I was at my lowest weight about 20 lbs ago) for several months. Cutting all processed food and sugar (aside from a weekly cheat meal) got me finally losing again.

I agree with the statements here, but if you are motivated to lose what you can, I suggest cutting all processed food, added sugars, and limiting sodium. Cutting carbs will help too - stick to whole grains, preferrably early in the day or before a workout. Move as much as you can. Walk, workout, whatever works for you.

No, I don't have a food scale. I do measure using measuring cups. I know that it is not as accurate. Just not in the budget right now and for me, it's about sustainability and I don't see myself weighing my food forever. Perhaps it's something to consider in the future to give me a better sense of how things weigh out, but…

Please try to keep your posts positive guys. I know it is the internet and a public forum and people tend to get wrapped up in stuff, but we all have a common goal in one way or another - to be healthy. I appreciate the input you all have offered, but let's try to keep the negativity to ourselves. Thanks! :)

I currently have it set to lose 1.5 lbs per week. I have tried TDEE. I have tried zig-zagging my calories. I do eat back most of my exercise calories. I have a HRM to monitor my burns. I have changed my workouts fairly frequently over the past year. Currently 3-4 days a week, I usually do a DVD workout at home - PiYo,…

Thanks! I have joined :)

Unfortunately, I can't change the title to remove the term clean eating. Sorry :( I am just looking for others with similar diets. I appreciate the input, but at this time I am not really looking for other suggestions. I am transitioning to eating whole, natural foods and using natural sweeteners. A lot of the science now…

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I just mean eating whole foods. Fruit, vegetables, whole grains. Not eating processed foods with chemical additives or fast food. Maybe I should have said healthy eaters? Lol. I don't know. Just looking for some new friends with similar diets.

Chia seeds are great in smoothies too, or mixed into yogurt. I also bake them in muffins.

I have gotten Weight Watchers bread here in Ontario. It is about 50 calories a slice I think.

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement! :)

Thank you! And congrats on your AMAZING progress! You look like a totally different person!

Thanks so much! You're very sweet :)

Thank you! My initial goal is to lose 80 total and then go from there. I just want to be healthy and strong. I want to be able to do real push ups and life myself out of the pool with just my arms!

Let's see if the pics work now *fingers crossed*

Punching gets your heart rate up really quickly. Squat while you do it to burn extra calories and work those muscles!

I think that sounds like an awesome gift to yourself! I have done that workout, and while it is a good one, after about 5 days, the sound of her voice saying the same thing over and over drives me a bit crazy. You might want to pick up a couple of other DVD's - or once you get the hang of each level, put it on mute and…

I made a big batch of this at the beginning of the week. Makes 5 servings: 1 cup quinoa (ends up being more once cooked - just follow package instructions) 1/3 cup dried cranberries 1/3 cup dried apples, cut into little bits 2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup sliced almonds I also added chia seeds and a little bit of sweetener

Good for you! I hope you feel awesome and motivated to keep up the good work!

Sounds like a great idea! I probably won't think so the day after though, lol.

I only weigh myself once a week, first thing in the morning. I feel I get a more accurate idea of my weight this way and don't notice those little fluctuations.

I've lost just over 20 pounds as well, but don't see too much of difference. I have been taking measurements though and have lost about 4 inches around my waist. I have been wearing dresses mostly since it's summer, but when I tried on jeans, I realized what a difference that 20 pounds has made. There will be no clear cut…

When I initially started with MFP, I did not eat back my calories but I also wasn't doing as much cardio as I am now. When I upped my cardio, I found I was starving when I went to bed and didn't have enough energy for my workouts. In the past couple of weeks, I have been eating back a lot of my exercise calories (only if I…
