Yes!!! You have been working so hard, and I am proud of you... I know you're frustrated, but you will get there. I can tell you have definitely lost in your hips and your belly. Are you measuring yourself? When I'm stalled, that's what keeps me motivated. You're doing awesome, and you will get through 200 soon!

You will retain water (up to 10 lbs) for the first three weeks of any exercise program. In my experience, I retain more if the activity is more intense, as the muscles need to repair themselves. You have not built any muscle in 4 days, and muscle does not weigh more than fat. A lb of fat weighs the same as a lb of muscle.…

I found that not having it at all for a short period of time broke the addiction, and now I can have a small treat and stop. I used to be able to 3 ice cream sandwiches without a second thought. Now I eat one 90 calorie mini cone and I'm happy. You'll get there, its a process.

If you're going to a gym then you just need to get comfy in the free weight section of the gym. The cage will be your new best friend. If you are buying equipment to work at home, you can buy a set of starting lifting weights that will get you through the first couple months of lifting. You can't get very high in weight…

I am just an inch taller than you, and almost to my goal... I would be happy to be your cheerleader and help you out along the way!

Is the bar low enough on your back? I was having trouble until I found the 'notch' and immediately went up 20 lbs. Also, try doing some bar squats before you load weight so that you have the feel of great form. Do you separate the floor with your feet?

I have nothing to add, I just want to say that this is so sad. I wish you luck on figuring things out.....Just remember that whatever you choose, you HAVE to eat enough calories that you will be able to maintain!

I started lifting g heavy the first week of april. I did gain 5 lbs the first 3 weeks, but now I am 12 lbs down from where I started, so its not always true that you stop losing.

I just moved to Florida from Parker. I know everything there is to see and do in southeast Denver metro though, if you want to friend me! I can live vicariously through you!

You can do a search for mfp members in the "find members" tab at the top of the screen. I have found 3 workout buddies that way. Enter in your zip and it will give you who lives in your area. I just wrote to a few women who were the same age.

I believe at your height and weight, your goal should be to eat nutritiously but aim for as little gain as possible. Doctors recommend no more than 15 lbs gained for overweight pregnancies. I think you will need to bump your calories up a bit because pregnancy does require a lot of work for your body, but I think that if…

I do 25 minutes of HIIT, then lift, then do steady state cardio after. I do it this way because the HIIT really energizes me and I feel like I have superpowers when I'm done. The steady state cardio is tougher, but once I get going I can usually do the full time.

Hi Ian, I'm in Florida too. I would love to be part of your team mfp. The progress you've made is outstanding! MFP is truly a force to be reckoned with... I'm sure it can help you do so much more, with people from all corners of the globe cheering you on!

Can we add the fact that when you say to an MFP friend that they are doing a great job, it is spelled "You're"???? That's what spikes my righteous indignation.... can we please pass 3rd grade grammar? And yes, the phonetic spelling thing drives me crazy too. :-)

You need to find some calorie dense foods that you like that you can eat in a pinch. Tilapia has like 1 calorie, so don't think about eating low Cal, think about eating nutrient dense. Eggs, cheese, peanut butter, nuts.... I really like pure protein mini bars... they're a bite size chocolate bar with 10 grams of protein. I…

I'm not as organized about it, but I eat pretty much the same thing every day... it makes it easier for me when I have fewer choices, and since I am a single mom, simplicity is key. The longer I go, the more I see food as fuel and nothing more.

The only way to lose weight is to stop eating.

39, 5' 10, 2 lbs, but less now that I'm lifting, 1800-2000 depending on whether its a lifting day.

I mountain bike twice a week. I ride on dirt trails through the woods, so it might be a little different, but mfp is generally about 20% too high.

I'm a single mom, so I can definitely empathize with you. Nobody understands what its like unless they've done it. Feel free to friend request me and you can look at my diary. Some of my favorite things are: Chicken breasts with a slice of provolone cheese on top with veggies Morning star hamburger patties Chicken wraps…

Increasing your fiber by too much too fast will do this to you. Try taking a probiotic supplement. Don't add any more fiber until you get regular again, you'll just make the problem worse. You can also try colace, it's a stool softener. I took it when I was pregnant and it always did the trick. I'm sorry!

I work out a lot. At least 2 hours a day, and 2 days/week I go on 3-4 hour mountain bike rides. At this point I think I exercise more for the mental health benefits than the fitness benefits, as I am going through a divorce. I take a rest day when my body tells me it is tired, which has been more often now since I added…

I had to make this decision for my mom 4 years ago. As much as it hurt then, I am so glad that she had a "good death". Seeing her suffer would have ultimately been so much more painful for all of us and result in the same end. As for me, I definitely would like physician assisted suicide to be an option. Nobody should have…

If they do it right, love a guy who flirts. If they're creepy, then no.

Bumpity bump

Canned spinach. Popeye must have had an iron stomach, because that stuff is disgust-o-rama.

I'm at 1800, but considering a bump to 2000. Happy to be friends. :)

Wow... I guess every day is a cheat day for me then. My usual daily is 1800-2000. I don't usually have "cheat days", I eat more on days that I am more hungry, but very rarely go over 2500 because I usually end up feeling sick by the end of the day.

I'm newly single too and can tell you, if I had a babysitter I'd be OUT! There's so much fun to be had out there in the world. Don't focus on starting a new relationship just have fun. You'll feel much better about your situation if you start to build your own life outside of the life you had with him.

LMAO!!! I'm more worried about having the batter to put in the waffle maker...
