I haven't had waffles in far too long. Kind of hoping the waffle maker still works. :noway:

Thanks everyone, You all came up with some suggestions that I have not tried. The calcium might be an issue because the only calcium I get is from Greek yogurt once a day. I will try bumping that up and also the coconut water idea.... Thanks so much for your help!

I just finished stage 1, feel free to friend me and I will help you out!

Oh! I don't know what I was thinking, I just looked at it a few days ago. Doh. Thanks for responding!

Wow. This makes me want to date so much more now! What a tool.

I eat 1800, but my favorite protein sources are chicken breasts (the pre cut frozen ones from target so I can make one at a time), cheese, eggs, pure protein shakes and bars, (the shakes have 23 g for only 130 calories), cottage cheese and dannon light n fit yogurt.

TNROLFW is awesome for people who are intimidated. Its a no brainer. All your workouts are already planned, and it starts you off slow enough that before you know it you are totally comfortable.

I love the 'have a little ways to go' crew at my gym. They're the ones that are happy, excited to be there, and eager to meet new people. Now the guy that was using all THREE squat racks today for over 30 minutes while about 5 of us hovered around waiting, that guy got the eye roll.

I can't really say that I've totally cut anything, but I will say there are several things that I feel like I am free from their demonic grip! 1. Diet soda 2. Sweet treats 3. Endless amounts of bread 4. Loading my veggies up with butter 5. Handfuls of animal crackers on the go Now I can have 1 of something and be happy.…

I am just finishing stage 1. Feel free to friend me, if you want advance help from where you are. You'll love it, it's been great for me. :-)

On my last week of stage 1. Feel free to add me!

I have 3 more workouts in stage 1. I've noticed a big change in my shoulders, and my stomach seems to be trying to show some abs. I gained 4 lbs right off the bat, but now I have lost that and 4 more additional since starting. Good luck!

That's the question of the year. I was like you just out of college, worked as a GD part-time for 6 years before I had kids. Hated, hated, hated it. People have no clue what it takes for a graphic designer to figure out what the client 'sees' in their mind. I set out to get fit in hopes that maybe I can do something in the…

Young child behavioral consultant 1 year doing this, but 12 years of owning a preschool 5. I love my kids, but the parents tend to make the job really hard. After spending the last 18 years working with little kids, I'm ready for a change.

At 297 I would wager that you would be somewhere in that 3-400 calorie range. I know you said you have bad knees, but are you able to do the elliptical? It gives you an amazing workout that should get heartbeat much higher. Have you ever used the machine's heartbeat sensors to compare?

This thread has just driven me to singledom forever. :-)

I would have a hard to e trusting your HRM. Your body burns 100 calories an hour doing nothing, so for the HRM to say you're burning less than that on a 40 minute bike ride is doubtful. Usually they're right, but I think something might be wrong with yours. How much do you weigh?

My first boyfriend took me for $300. It was 1989, so $300 was a hell of a lot of money when you worked for $3.35 scooping ice cream at Baskin Robbins. I'm now friends with him on facebook.... that would probably put my kid through college with interest attached. I should get it back! I've also lost a ton of cool camping…

That that tattoo is hideous? Yes. True.

I like camelback because the sloshing of the half empty bottle bothers me on a fanny pack. Camelbacks shrink as the water goes out of them, so there is little or no sloshing around. IMO, it's worth the investment.

I just got my armband at best buy... don't know what kind of electronics stores you have across the pond, but it's worked well. I like to use my phone so I can listen to iheartradio.

I'm a 'late 30's' (read: 40) mom. Here everyday, do brick workouts, so would love to help inspire you.

That's really beautiful, Matt. You can do it. You will do it. I admire your determination and commitment. It won't be long before you're coming back from K2 with stories of how you made it to the top. Your years of broken dreams will just be a memory then and I'll be so proud to say "i knew you when" on that day.

Obviously everybody has already hit on all the major components of obesity in children today, it is a compound problem with many factors. Parents are working 2 jobs and generally try to take the easy way when it comes to feeding their children. Also, there is less opportunity for kids to play because parents are busier…

Oh hun.... Sweating is the best thing ever! Put your hair up on your head, put your earbuds in and work. Hard. I am dripping by the time I leave the gym, and it is the best feeling ever. Just do it!

Hi Everybody! I've already met many of you through my friends' list, but wanted to come back and check in... I had to put my triathlon goal on hold for a while because of a recurrent problem with my left knee and quad. I started doing heavy lifting to try to strengthen the area and am doing a ton of biking in the meantime.…

Contemplating the idea.... but really don't want to feel like I'm 17 again. Hated it enough the first time around. I'm trying to just stay focused on my kids and my healthy lifestyle, and hopefully the right relationship will come along... before I'm 90.

I think its an awesome way to get started. The first month is not too intimidating, you'll get your bearings and go from there. I love it so far and am already seeing results.

I'm active, in Wesley chapel.

I was scared to death to go into the testosterone zone, but wanted to start lifting heavy. I started NROLFW and now its been 3 weeks and I'm doing fine. The guys either don't care or look at me like they're impressed. Just do what you need to do and you'll do great!
