  • @Just_Ceci I'm doing weight training twice a week as well as running 3 times so hoping I'll be ok!
  • Hi All, as you can see from my c25k diary thread I'm only 4 runs off completing. Have absolutely loved it though and recommended it to all my friends. Good luck to those just starting out x
  • Well done @amgreenwell. My race isn't until April, an inflatable 5k 🙊🙈 but I'm planning on doing some park runs before hand. I'm going to try and get my distance up first as I'm only actually running 2miles/3k at the moment and the rest is during the warm up/cool down walks. So.im going to increase my running time by 3…
  • Day 12 of @redjanuaryuk and Week 8 Run 2 of c25k. Ok so I definitely set off too fast today. I was struggling from lap 2 (10 minutes) of the run. I forgot to have my usual glass of water before an early morning run and so got stitch by lap 3. But I kept going. This is all about mentally over coming my I can't attitude to…
  • @Just_Ceci Well done! X
  • @redjanuaryuk day10! Couch to 5k Week 8 Run 1. 28 minutes of running done! Felt like I was flying this evening. The park was strangely busy with dog walkers so I had to keep more if an eye on mine. He likes to steal balls off of other dogs And someone had a lovely light up one which luckily we managed to avoid thieving.…
  • @amgreenwell that is amazing and your pace must be good because I'm only just up to 2.5 miles at the end of week 7 lol! My running is probably slower than my walking! Tomorrow I start week 8!
  • Post run cuddles with the boy. @redjanuaryuk Day 8! Couch to 5k Week 7 Run 3 complete!!! Well we started off our Red January Day 8 with going to see Solo at the stables. I usually reach my step goal for the day at the stables by mucking out and then either lungeing (which we did today) or leading Connie out on a ride. This…
  • @Just_Ceci That's brilliant well done!
  • @amgreenwell well done! Your run sounds excellent! I would def recommend it. I'm thinking about getting a second as this one is in the wash so often x
  • Day 6 of @redjanuaryuk And week 7 Run 2 of Couch to 5k. After a sore throat yesterday, today I've woken up with a cough and a runny nose. After my daughter having flu all week, today was just about getting round and running for 25 minutes. I was only 0.13 miles behind my best distance and I did run for 25 minutes despite…
  • @frannie_h20 mine was from Amazon. It's underwired https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01NAS6BA7/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'd definitely buy it again x
  • Day 4 of @redjanuaryuk and Week 7 Run 1 of Couch to 5k. Gave it my all today. Couldn't have run harder if I tried. Desperate to get to the 5k in the next 3 weeks. Sunset run and it is COLD today so I'm glad I was running while the sun was still up. New PB for distance again so happy with that! No weights or running…
  • @frannie_h20 sports bra arrived yet?
  • I really recommend the couch to 5k programme. I'm 16st 5 and have been running for 6 weeks now. A lot of it is about mind set and believing that you can do it as well as pacing yourself so that you can. There's not been one run that I've had to redo or not been able to complete so far. You've got this! I've got a thread in…
  • Week 6 Run 3, Red January Day 2! I RAN FOR 25 MINUTES!!! And I could have gone on longer! Today I had a run buddy in @kirstyrunslondon who has started training for the London Marathon this year. Having Kirsty really motivated me to keep my pace and keep going. I've told her she has to run with me more often! PB on…
  • @amgreenwell excellent news! Week 6 Run 3 for me today when hubby gets home. 25 minutes of running. That's it now. No more walking 😲 and actually I'm calm and not worried!
  • @frannie_h20 excellent news! I also have that problem 🤣 Love my sports bra, particularly after breastfeeding 2 Babies. It makes me feel a little more Madonna and a little less ex dairy cow 🤣
  • @TimeToReduceFat Did you redo week 1?
  • @fionamaryan how are you doing?
  • @amgreenwell how are you getting on?
  • Ready for RED January with my red laces! Do something active every day for Mind Please feel free to donate here https://www.mind.org.uk/donate and join me in being active!
  • Well that's it. Final run of 2018 leaving me with good habits and much healthier to enter 2019. After the solid 20 minute run last week these 2 runs with walking in the middle have been easy by comparison. However, I'm still nervous for wednesdays 25 minute run but feeling a lot more confident than last week. Once again I…
  • I wanted to lose one last pound before New Year, been really good, but it's that time of the month so I am showing 4lbs heavier despite eating a deficit and exercising!
  • Typically 5 days a week. I do couch to 5k 3 times a week and lift weights twice a week. But over Christmas I've done more running than weights just due to lack of time for both.
  • Pinterest has lots of 30 day challenges which helped me straight after I had both my kids and couldn't get to the gym 😁
  • Week 6 Run 1 complete! So after the 20 minute run for week 5 Run 3 this felt easy. However, during the last 5 minute run Laura announces I have 2.5 minutes to go and then... I kept running, and running, and running... I had to check my phone because I was coming up to a whole lap of the park which for me takes just under 8…
  • @amgreenwell Yay! Excellent well done! It's been cold but no rain. Today I bought some running trainers in the sale! Off for week 6 Run 1 tomorrow morning!
  • So after throwing my guts up last night (Think it was my body's way of telling me off for over indulgence after a year of mostly good eating) I DID IT. Before my closest friends ask no it wasn't the alcohol lol. I had 1 glass of bucks fizz and 2 of champagne and that was me done! In fact I've just spoken to a neighbour and…
  • 🎅Christmas Eve run done🎄! Once again forgot to put my Fitbit on from the beginning of my warm up so adding 0.1miles to my distance. Pace is getting quicker and running for 8 minutes at a time was fine! Slightly worried about the jump to 20 minutes with no walking on boxing day but I will do it! Merry Christmas to the C25k…
