Wow, great work - you look amazing.

For Americans confused on the whole roasted tater thing, I'm an American - a southerner - and my fiance is a Brit. I can do them. Just grab some russets. Peel & chop them into ginormous hunks - like thirds - and boil until you can just pierce with a fork. Put them in roasting dish and drizzle with vegetable oil, you don't…

We didn't do so well this year. Couple different types of tomatoes, which are doing fantastic, but ripped out all the cucumbers as they were dying. I have bell peppers and hot peppers I should really check, as well as lettuce and collard greens. I lot of my herbs just didn't come up this time. The lettuce was really easy…

I'm not that crazy about the regular PB2. I mean, it will do, but I *love* peanut butter. I love it so much that I cannot buy it. But the chocolate PB2 is a whole other thing - love that stuff.

Definitely see someone, if you aren't. This might sound crazy, but even my own doctor told me - new research is beginning to point to meditation being more powerful than any anti-anxiety drug out there. My anxiety isn't anywhere near the level of yours, but I have to say that even being a very beginner with meditation has…

Remember that by the time you actually experience thirst, you are already dehydrated. Use mental imagery to imagine a parched desert, and then suddenly a beautiful rain begins to slowly hydrate it with moisture, giving it what it needs to survive - that's you. Everything in you - muscles, tissue, ligaments, that's telling…

It's always the last to go for most people.

Measure the ingredients as accurately as you can, measure the results (contents of your pot of soup), decide what constitutes a serving (what does it weight?) and carefully enter all this in the recipe builder. Sounds like a pain but you get fast at it and once its done, it's done. The recipe builder is not hard to use as…

I did two days of SL last week - skipped day 3 because my shoulder was giving me a little pain. I think I might be overly cautious though and I need to carefully push through it; I think it's sore muscle pain. The rotator cuff moves I'm doing are probably the cause and it's a good thing. My weak-sauce OHP makes me realize…

I weigh daily and then I go to OCDville and track it in a spreadsheet, along with calories in & out and notes. I only update it in MFP when there's a big enough different to matter to my nutrition stats.

Thanks! I actually did 12 weeks of PT. My RC injury wasn't bad, but unknown to me until my evaluation, my muscles were so tight and knotted (no rolling, massage or proper stretching) that when I laid on my back, my shoulders didn't touch the table! I was a mess. PT assistants kept asking me if I'd been in a car wreck. I…

I'm off the sauce for a while. I love wine and good food, so much. But I just cannot drink and lose at the same time. It's horrible.

Back to the weight room today - first in a long, long time. Day 1 of SL 5x5 - I did the beginner start, where you don't load any weights and just use the barbell. It felt weird not loading anything but I hurt myself doing my own "thang" so now I'm going to do an actual program and I want to ensure I don't overstress my…

Yes thanks, especially the reminder to continue the therapy and strengthening at home, which I have been very slack about.

Please count me in. I'm 48 - I used to lift up until a couple of years ago. I loved what it did for my body and confidence, but bad form got me a rotator cuff injury! So I'm ready to begin again. I need to get a good 20 pounds off my 5'4 frame as well, and I know that weight training will help me get the weight off, and…

Love this! Tried to add you (and many others) but just doesn't seem to be working for me. Liked your FB page - it's motivational.

Walking is never a waste of time. Get a good pace going and enjoy it. We were built to walk. But, you aren't going to lose weight unless you are in a calorie deficit - as everyone else is pointing out.

I've tried to add a few more people, but it doesn't seem to be working for me today.

It's not very intuitive. Click on someones' name and send them a message requesting they become friends. I'll send you a message - you should then see the option to friend me.

Great mother's day here. My oldest is an excellent cook, and she prepared appetizers & paired a great spicy red wine. We sat on my back porch and enjoyed. Thankfully I was VERY active yesterday.

Please add me. I'm 48 and losing/gaining the same 7 lbs. Then I have 20 more to lose. For me though, it's become more about getting healthy as I can so that I can grow old with - hopefully - energy and strength. I feel really awake now in how I see the world and my place in it.

I just wanted to throw my support in; you've gotten great advise - esp, get medical advise immediately so you can move forward safely. Also, yes, you can do this. People do it every day. Every single day. The Success forum is full of them, and some of them in far more dire straights than you are. So, that could be you a…

Hi all - 48, female,, lost about 10 lbs over the last couple months, and making a lot of changes in my life. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to gently begin lifting again with a very tricky shoulder. And begin yoga/stretching again. Staying strong and limber is my game plan for getting older.

Every day. Then I get my OCD on and plug it into a spreadsheet, which includes calorie intake and deficit, and general moods. Watching the trends and fluctuations is interesting and informative, and I love a good bar graph. I'm totally comfortable with the ups and downs, and I look for patterns. I've learned a bit…

Chocolate PB2 mixed with water until *just thick enough* then smeared on slices of apple.

Start eating right and moving right now, and imagine where you will be in 12 weeks if you keep it up. Imagine where you will be if you don't start and don't keep it up. Imagine if you'd started 12 weeks ago, and kept it up - where would you be right now? 12 weeks goes by quickly.

Incredible, congratulations on such hard work. And you could slice butter with those cheekbones

Blondie is my absolute favorite.

I like PEScience whey powder. Everyone else seems to love their Snickerdoodle flavor, but Blondie is my favorite. Mix a scoop well (a bullet or Ninja is great for this) with a cup of fat free skim milk, and there you have it. Throw in extra goodies (chia seeds, fruit, etc) if you are feeling fancy. Protein pancakes are…
